Letter of Transmittal sent to City Council.
The Omak Park Board has completed the review and update of the City's 2020 Park and Recreation Plan. The effort is part of the City's commitment to keep the City eligible for Recreation Conservation Office grants. The Park Board held a public workshop on the revised and updated plan on February 10, 2026. The only written comment received during the public review process was from the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife reminding the city that any projects within shoreline areas or requiring work in the water will require review, comment and permits before construction can commence. One person attended the February 10 workshop and voiced support for the proposed levee trail and river access points. Following the workshop on February 10 the Park Board Commission unanimously recommended that the plan be forwarded to the City Council with a recommendation of approval.
