Okay, good morning everyone. Um, I'm going to call the special board of selectment meeting to order. May 8th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. This is a virtual meeting only. Um, and online we have selectman John Misham, selectman Jim Lampos, and Kitty Balaka is also dialed in to make sure that recordings are going smoothly. We only have one piece of uh item of on the agenda and that is the approval of the revised um engagement letter from CLE sustainability. Um I'm hoping that you John and Jim have both had a chance to look at the new um updated. This is the only one that changed. The other one was um the waiver one didn't have any things that had to change, but they did make uh the requested changes that I noted to them about removing the region 18 chain school system and also um changing it to the program for the installed capacity of a solar project and no battery storage. All the references to battery storage were taken out. um if we were to engage with them for a different type of project, another engagement letter would come through, but they will also look out for us if there's some type of a project that that they we might be willing to look into.
Okay. So, do anybody have any questions or thoughts? Uh I think the reviewed uh engagement is is cleaned up nicely. I like uh uh how the wording was changed for uh their their you know three and seven cents how that's calculated and all the battery and uh like you said the school is gone so it looks good to me Jim. Yeah. Much better.
Okay. So do we want to make a motion uh for me to sign the waiver and the engagement letter? Well, the the w the the waiver I just I just had kind of a a question on the waiver. Did that did that get run by uh town legal because it it's just kind of interesting that it says we want you to sign it but you don't have to. Oh. Um they I think they're, you know, covering their own um legal thing basically only because they are possibly doing work with other towns,
right? Um, I haven't spoken to Christie. I did email her again yesterday to say I was having another meeting and I'd love her input, but I have not heard from her and I didn't see her email an email response. I can try calling her right after this. So, if you want I you can make a motion on the engagement letter and then we can do a separate one for the waivers saying um with um once our legal department has approved Yeah, it's not I I don't really have a a problem per se. I just think it the the wording was kind of interesting that it's that it's optional. I mean, I I understand where they're where they're coming from, but I just would like to interesting to hear uh legals our legal, you know, what their take on of this. So, I I'll make a motion to approve uh the engagement letter and uh to approve the liability waiver or conflict of interest waiver provided there's no concerns from town council
only for the waiver though I can say do the engagement. Okay. Yes. Can I have a second on that? I will second. All right. Any further discussion? Okay. you'll just let us know if uh there's any Yeah. Okay. On that,
what I'll do is I will sign the um I sign the engagement letter now, send it to Rob Cle, and I'll tell him that I'm just awaiting um approval from our legal department that they agree that this is okay. And then I'm gonna let both of you know once and if I get a positive from uh Christie or Mike Kerry, then I will just go ahead sign it if it's okay with both of you. Um and not to wait the weekend. Um correct. Okay. All right. So that's where we stand. So uh hearing no other discussion, call for a vote. All those in favor of the motion on the floor, please signify by saying I. I.
Any opposed? Any abstensions? Motion passes. Can I have a motion to adjourn at 10:04? Make a motion to Go ahead, Jen. I'll make a motion to adjurnn. Second. Okay. All those in favor? I I
