Public Communications is the time set aside during the Planning Commission meeting for members of the public to address the Planning Commission on items of City business other than scheduled agenda items. Matters raised at this time may be briefly discussed by the Commission and will generally be referred to staff and/or placed on a subsequent agenda. Under State law, other than for emergency items, no action can be taken at this meeting.

DISCLOSURE OF SITE VISITS AND EX-PARTE CONTACTS

Commissioners to provide disclosure of site visits and ex-parte contacts for items on the agenda.

Zone Change (ZC 25-001) | Re Noticing for previously considered request for a zone change from Business Professional (BP) to Commercial (C-1) to allow for the sale of alcohol and bring an existing gas station “Ojai Gas” associated convenience store use into conformance regarding zone designation, located at 1124 Maricopa Highway, Assessor’s Parcel Number 019-0-180-070. The subject site has a General Plan Designation of General Commercial (GC), and the Zoning Classification of the site is Business Professional (BP). Property Owner: Ojai Gas Inc. Applicant: Ojai Gas Inc. Raad Abasi. Representative: Evelyn Abasi, Esq.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission 1. Conduct a public hearing, accept public testimony, and close the public hearing; and 2. Adopt Planning Commission Resolution (Attachment A) recommending approval to City Council of a Zone Change (ZC 25-001) to allow for the sale of alcohol and bring existing gas station “Ojai Gas” associated convenience store use into conformance regarding zone designation, based on the findings and conditions in Attachment A as the proposal is consistent with the Ojai Municipal Code.
