I think it really helps staff also to follow a discipline.
Aye. Any opposed? Thank you, Tyler. Thank you. It's a lot of work. Thank you so much.
Are you going to tell us something else about Carter as a student?
Oh, you were gonna, he just thanked you. And I interrupted.
So 12 to 5. 12 to 5. If you were to have like a, I don't know, 10 or 12 volunteers... When would be the right time to have them?
We did 9 and 10. You're good. You're good. I was wondering if there was something else. I'm looking down like, nope, you're not number 11. Go do some more.
Number two, I don't understand, Kent, and you need to educate me on this, when you say the environmental study, what are you referring to, or what are they referring to?
Hang on, let him answer. He was the same question.
So you've answered my question, and this is what I suspect at not being an expert on these kinds of projects with UDOT and other authorities around the country. So inside of that environmental study is an analysis of what we have today. versus what we will have with these quote improvements in terms of traffic flow, reduced accident rates, better management of whatever flows and so forth, right?
I need to see that compared to taking this thing down to the red mark. I don't have enough information to, in my mind, to stand here and say, you know what, that piece of median is so necessary to the flow and the increase improvement and lowering the accident rates and the flow of traffic in all directions that we just cannot move it more than five feet. So, Otherwise, as a member of this council, I have to kind of say I can't make a decision on helping these individuals that are here mitigate losses because of a cement barrier we're putting in the middle of the road. I mean, their traffic…
Well, this is one of the things that we were just mentioning over here, and I'm sorry to interrupt you, is how did we get here when we've had a bazillion public meetings for discussion and input and so forth, and clearly this is something that is going to have an impact one way or another on the businesses. Anyway, but we are at a position where I think we just need to move forward, get rid of the five feet or seven feet or whatever it is so that you can get your trucks in there, and then we'll figure out a way to mitigate losses going forward one way or another. I promise you I'm going to…
I think what everybody's saying is that we are willing to take a look at this once this massive project is finalized without any interruptions so that we can get all the other benefits as opposed to stopping it now for this thing. Does that make sense?
And then afterwards, we'll give it a whirl. I promise you we will.
Thank you, Russell. Thank you. Thank you.
Can I ask you a question, Scott? Yeah. What is your specific concern with the locality?
I kind of appeal to the softer side of my heart when searching for it and was there a couple hours ago but then I have had the unfortunate experience of digging into some of these The practices that have generated some of these numbers, and I'll say it, I don't know if it's politically correct or not to say it, but there's a bit of abuse of this adopted bad habit that has taken place to fund whatever. I'm not gonna get into the specifics, I can if you want me to, but I won't in this meeting. And I think the effect of those abuses have been reflected in an extra cost to the citizens of our…
Before you do, Robert, I think Phil had a comment.
Aye. Thank you, thanks for all your work. Natasha, I've said it a million times, I'm gonna say it a million one. Thank you. Thank you so much.
I told you, Bill, that I was not going to be there.
James, just a quick question. Of all these numbers, what percentage of them are transient versus people in our community? that require this from a non-coin basis?
Well, it doesn't mitigate the need that those people from our side of our area have, but it does make a difference, right? It does make a big difference. To you guys, it's got to be transparent, I guess. But... I mean, there's gotta be ways to kinda focus on our community and see how we can reduce those numbers.
So that was one question I had. When I was on the board of Canyon Creek, we were, really careful with the People that we had in the in the shelter for security reasons and so forth. So how do you manage? When you have such a high percentage of the people that use the services the security of those people that have gotten there as a result of domestic violence and
Is there like, let's say you put these six duplex units in there and as we were talking before, you've got showers and bathrooms and all of that kind of good stuff. Is there a time limit? I mean, how do you process people so it doesn't become like, hey, you know what's nice? Cedar City, they got these, you know?
I'll talk to you later about my next thought.
Can you give us a little brief on each one of them?
