Any opposed? Okay, next one is to consider a zone change from Annex.
Okay. So now we'll entertain a motion for number 10 since we already passed nine. Second. Mm-hmm. So Phil made the motion on number 10. Robert, second. All in favor?
I think you have to do both by roll call.
This is terrible. Maybe by the end of four years, I'll get this figured out.
Number nine. Roll call vote starting with Councilman. Aye.
Aye. unanimous now to the motion second on number 10 roll call starting with councilman Cox hi hi hi hi hi for the fun of it it's the theatrics in a little nervous okay so good did you have anything else you wanted to to talk about there Because you're still standing, so we did 9 and 10.
Okay, number 11 is to consider the redesign of the barrier on Royal Hunt Drive. And I'll turn first to Kent, let you go through what research we have worked on this week.
Give me. Can I add one part to that, Waldo? Yes, please. As you guys are processing this decision that you are being asked to make tonight, I called Devin personally to make sure that I heard firsthand from him what his stance was. And the harsh reality is the project is going to go in the way it's currently designed. The opportunity to make the modifications to any of that they won't allow us to. It will push their project back because of the legal process. They have to go through with the new environmental and it would kill the project currently. They are not going to do that. They would…
Do another environmental, show why we think it's all right and make the change.
Other than the harm it would do to relationship. You're correct. Correct.
Russell, is there anything you wanted to add to the discussion tonight?
Well, there's been changes in it since then.
I did. brought up this modeling I said they told us in the meeting they've been asking for a modeling to show the bigger truck can make it since April and there hasn't been anything he forwarded me an email that last communication was April with the old model in it and then I pointed out to him like that's the point this isn't the model they're asking for so I did I expressed the frustration is there a possibility that Devin could be at a next action meeting so where we can channel our questions and our concerns to a UDOT representative instead of Kent
Okay. That's just the hard reality. This stage in the game, the city, the state will not modify that project. It will delay the entire interchange project.
For sure. I mean, I think all of us are willing to reevaluate that once the project's completed.
It definitely is the answer to that. Okay.
Well, probably not as frustrated as you are. I'm not the one that has business. Yes, definitely not as frustrated as you are. Okay. But I empathize with the frustration.
Well, the motion I would say would be appropriate here would be for council to make a motion to ask for that
Please take this and see if we can make that turn as usable as possible.
I'll second that. I have a motion and a second. All in favor?
Okay. So we'll do the best we can to get it as good of a turn radius as possible for now.
Okay. Next one is to consider bids for the covered outdoor arena project at the Cross Hollow Event Center.
He loves talking in public. It's his favorite thing.
But your concern is noted, and you can vote against it still if you'd like to.
You're OK. You can start it. We're now on item 13 about impact fees.
