I won't promise that. Yeah, I wouldn't promise that either. Okay, let's move on to item number two. So fire mitigation up in the Cedar Ridge golf course area.
But their agenda item tonight is talking about the fire mitigation.
Are we clear on the request? He just wants us to figure out how to limit access for motor vehicles and people being able to get down in there and have fires and that kind of thing. Is that a clear summary?
So I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else you wanted to talk about, and then we'll open up for council questions. So anything else, Steve, that you wanted to make sure I'm hit?
So just for the sake of time, I think we've seen the pictures. All councils had a chance to already review all this, Steve. And I think you've made it clear on what you're asking, that you'd like us to restrict it and make sure that it's only accessible by foot and by bike.
Yeah, so let's have the discussion now. Councilman Schmidt actually had his finger up first a long time ago, so we'll go there first and then come to you, Councilman.
So let me share with you what we have done so that you know the steps that we have already tried to do. We tried to block off those trails, put boulders, barring fencing the whole entire area.
They just go around them, right? It's enough open space that the motorcycles will go around them. So to me, if you're serious about restricting access, that's why I told Steve you've got to come here. You've got to spend a lot of money to fence the whole thing to keep vehicles out.
And we already have talked to chief about this in many other areas, right, of try to add when they're down to be able to go patrol it. That still is not going to keep everybody out. No, no. So there's a degree of what do you do other than that.
That's a priority area to evaluate and use the new tool.
They haven't done it yet, but this is a priority area with the new tool to do it in.
So, Councilman Phillips, did you have anything first?
Do you have the map? Well, if you wouldn't mind stepping aside, Steve, and let Chief.
Because there's not a lot of fuel there.
Pardon? It says no motor vehicles on the signage.
Yeah, that was the standard BLM sign. BLM, yeah. I'm not sure who put that up.
So from a decision-making process discussion, would council be supportive of fencing the entire? No. So more signage potentially to make it more clear?
Field functions in the wild, wild west of it.
That would be Kenny. Falls under the parks and rec areas.
Turn it into an amenity. Okay. So discussion.
I have a motion. Second. And a second. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? So what that means, Steve, is it will go to action meeting next week. Not next week. Two weeks. Sorry, two weeks. It will be the fourth.
So next week, Steve, the council will vote on what other things we feel like as a city we want to do to mitigate fire risk up there. And I thank you for- Thank you.
It'll be. We're not having council next week.
Yeah, the convention's next week. So thank you, Stephen.
Okay, next one's consider amending mining rights lease, Coal Creek Gravel. Paul.
