So that was a compromise back then, huh, John? Pardon me, sir? That was a compromise back then to build the sidewalks on the other side?
I guess he didn't want to build the wastewater plant.
See Jeremy, I'm a little more positive. Our best days are still in front of us. No doubt about it. We're in a girl phase right now. We've changed the way we are bringing in business way. We're paying for performance, which is a new way of looking at things. I also think that. We take in plenty of money. This idea that we don't have enough money to pay our bills is nonsense. We just don't prioritize it. We're going to have to go in there. Mr. Mayor is right. It's going to have to be decision making. What are our priorities? But from a community standpoint, we take in plenty of money from the…
Yeah, thanks for asking them, man. Get involved.
I'd just like to see them go in sections. I know a lot of the contracts are written that you don't proceed to the next 200 feet until you fill the other 200 feet. I'm going through it in Parkview right now in my neighborhood, too. And we addressed it, and all of a sudden they started to kind of clean up behind themselves. It's easier for them. From a contractor standpoint, it makes more sense. They want to mobilize all of their concrete guys at once and do it all at once. It's more effective for them. You see both sides of it, but from a business perspective or if you're a homeowner and it's…
So Sam, let me get in front of you a little bit on this. So is there things that are outstanding right now that are just unresolved that are specifically that we can... Basically unresolved. A, B, C, D type stuff?
And maybe we'll get together and let's go out there and let's just put it to bed. Figure it out, you know what I mean?
Never get as bad as it seems. We'll figure it out and we'll put a plan together. That's what I'm asking for. Thank you so much.
Here's my question on the property tax side of it. Yes. The reason I like this, number one, it makes me look really good that I keep it at $295,000. And then the second thing, though, on the property taxes is can we play the come that we can find that savings off the levy? See, this is where I'm going. You know where I'm going with this. You got to think a little wider. If we keep the rate the same, but I get the first two years we're going to be, but we got to find $31 and 60. I'm more comfortable trying to find it on the backside because I know where the cuts are going to have to come on…
Well, that's the epitome of what's happened to us to this point.
Is that this option is the option what the fold does that cover everything or is that not that covers everything?
So, Teresa, I'm not going to be a smart aleck here, but why do you think that we can't find the $31 again on the property tax side of it? I mean, if we're talking about legitimate cuts.
We're 1.9 behind already. That's the point I'm trying to make.
I like the option four at the end there, if that's where you're going. Is that what you're thinking?
But I want to point out the property tax side of it. That way people understand that it's $8 million. It's real money. Conversation is real. That's why we have it. That's why I don't know That's why you present the 295 is because you got to see you got to show the people that Absolutely 95 because it's gonna get dumped in there.
