  4. May I ask a clarifying question about number three? Are you saying yes to having food truck operations be allowed on permitted places?

  5. Or potentially pots, okay. Yeah. Okay, so not a conditional use permit, more just in anywhere we have defined, we like to have it. Okay. Thank you. Thank you.

  6. Thank you. Well, I have a question or two. So... we maybe talk a little bit well about maybe the farmers market we have currently at the the drager's sort of area can we can you share like how how did that come about what what what does what could that represent you know i i do is there a conditional use permit being given there or um you know What did we need to do to make that possible?

  7. Okay, so we currently have language in our special events permit resource that can allow for, let's say, a food truck to regularly come to a I guess, are we considering that area a vacant lot? It's owned by somebody, right?

  8. Okay, that's helpful. And just as a reminder for me and perhaps others, do we currently have any sort of distance requirements away from schools for either food trucks or non-motorized vendors?

  9. Okay. And I imagine this is sort of a similar question, and I apologize if it's too remedial or we already sort of went over it, but I seem to recall in the presentation you noted that we cannot make them move. But are we saying beyond the sort of moving violation sort of framework we have right now with regard to food trucks, i.e., we may not allow them to... We may have issues with them staying in a position for a certain amount of time. Maybe this is similar to what Councilmember Newsom was saying.

  10. Right. Thank you. Okay. So I'm a, I'm a little torn at the moment because I sort of feel as though I don't really know what we might like with regard to these questions. Personally, I feel, um, that I appreciate the research conducted and some ideas shared, but to me, I think, um, I may not like, you know, without maybe a little more diving into examples for, you know, from cities that may like answer these questions in various ways and look at like some templates as ideas. I'm not completely sure what good looks like at the moment. But I'm hopeful that maybe we'll have an opportunity in…

  11. Thank you. And I think I generally agree with that. To me, I think another wrinkle of the conditional use permit is that I think maybe if we were to try something new, if we were to pilot something or take first steps toward something new and different, The conditional use permit, I think, allows us a little more flexibility where we can we can put it into motion. And then if we need to tweak it or something, we it can be temporary and we're not locked into something and have to redo it. But Councilmember Newsom, did you have something else you wanted to add?

  13. to get your feedback okay thank you uh well i i will say yes to number one um and i think similar to what councilmember sirko gadiski and and councilmember newsome were outlining just now to me i i think i'm somewhat aligned with this idea where um and i appreciate what you just mentioned councilmember newsome as well about uh reminding us to to look at the food trucks versus uh other other vendor types and and see these as more of an opportunity to partner uh perhaps and so with that in mind i think i'll say yes to uh number one um and should it be limited by zone district or location um I…

Really appreciated the opportunity to come out with staff and enjoy the reopened and renovated East Hillsdale Park. I also want to shout out Andrea and the staff who put together the recent Sea Level Rise Climate Adaptation Plan sort of first steps. We had a packed oak room. So good start on the outreach for that.
