“Councilwoman Knight. You know I'm in technology and I know AI is not always popular but I think in this case and probably in several cases within the city government we have opportunities to utilize AI to streamline a lot of processes and help with those loads. It does require human intervention but AI does the bulk of the work. The human intervention comes in with reviewing the work to make sure it's accurate. and then you move forward.”

“Uh-oh. So I was saying that AI... Is something that probably could benefit the city. It's an investment You have to look at the different types of AI tools that are available out there But I think that this is something that would benefit not just the clerk's office But probably the city as a whole when you have all these public records requests you have You know all these other minutes and stuff like that, AI can go in and read all those for you and it just takes human intervention to review them. So it's a very time-saving process that I think would be beneficial for the city.”

“Thank you. Councilwoman Knight? There are a plethora of different types of AI out there. So it's not just chat GPT. It's not just Microsoft Copilot. You've got Claude. Google has their own. You've got some that extract verbal interactions from video. And yes, you have to purchase them. But there's a ton of different types of AI out there that can be utilized.”

“But you have to understand how to use it. So you have prompt AI. So once you teach it, it becomes very reliable. We've been using it at work. We just got a new AI update. That where I was able to go and bulk update like 150 user stories and we had two and two stories that were incorrect, but it's learning. So as I've done it more and more over the last several days, it's picked up, hold on a minute. It's picked up and learned. What is that absolutely necessary? So it's a matter of playing with your prompts when you work in AI and telling it what to do. You have to kind of play around with it…”

“I think the reason, and I'm not faulting anybody, the reason that it's coming, it's just being presented wrong in how you do it. I understand what you're asking for. I believe if memory serves, the lady who turned that in got up and spoke at a council meeting and said she was the one who dropped it off. And I'm not sure her, I can't recall her name, but if you still maintain the... Record for that meeting? Or...”

“disabled and mentally challenged children as well as young toddlers who want to enjoy our splash pad because we do have a really nice splash pad that they're able to do if you're neurodivergent obviously you have issues with how you interact with those types of things and they're having problems with the water up and neurodivergent children which we do have quite a few of autistic individuals within Orange City and surrounding areas the parents after speaking with them felt like if we had a feature, a water feature that maybe showered down on the splash pad where those children and those…”

“I just want to make sure, so I think there may be a misunderstanding of what council member Stafford was saying. I know when you say, she says my city, and you're saying you get offended from it. I think what she's just doing is she's explaining that she's got a personal stake in it.”
