Like if we just stop. So I think that that would be up for staff to give us a recommendation when they come back because this is our ask. I fully understand that there's probably some large penalties with breaking the contracts. I'd like to hear some of those numbers. But we can also pause the tool use while we figure out the contracts. And I think those are two different things. And so again, I think this comes to seeing the vision and then the how for council direction. But we can approach that hopefully when it's brought back.
Okay. Okay. We have a majority. We would like to see surveillance policy. That alone, I'll just make sure that we're clear. It's probably going to require several discussions and several different cross-branch discussions. a lot of work to do. So we'll see what staff can do. And I don't want to put that with a time priority. I just want to make sure they can do the work and bring that back to us.
Yeah. Okay. It's scheduled for November 9th to come back to council. Legislative policy protocols and policy statement discussion. Oh, good. Thank you. I was going to follow up with that.
Councilor Johnson. We need to vote on that. Yeah, just a quick poll. Yeah, make sure we're all on board. Okay, I am as well. And that, I just want to comment. I mean, that comes down to just having our lobbyist team hear the goals and visions and values of the council that should have been brought to us for awareness. I don't know how we missed that. So putting that there. That's it. Okay. Thank you, Councilor Azadi. I appreciate your work on this. Final thoughts. Okay. Chief, thank you. Thank you, Jenna. And thank you, I'm sorry, first name? Tyler. Tyler, thank you so much. Appreciate your…
Thank you. With that, oh, we would have had to do another vote, so that's fantastic. 11.01, we are adjourned.
All right, the audio is finally working.
Excuse me. I do. Thank you so much. I just want to say that drone show was incredible. It was truly, I mean, everyone in the audience was just blown away, as was I. And so excellent job by all of our partners, the economic development team, the downtown Westminster Business Association. It was, I'm just so proud of our city. Sometimes that was just a moment where I got to stop and say, wow. I had a great coffee this weekend. And so just a reminder out there, if you want to come chat, a fourth Saturday of each month, I am at Nava Coffee at 930. And that went really well. And then I'll keep…
Mayor, do you have any questions? I do not. I just want to say that I know that an incredible amount of work went into this plan, and it's really, really exciting to see it come to life. I know that the Butterfly Pavilion team has told me at several points over the past year that they've been partnering with the Kaiser team on this, and they've been extremely excited about the work. And so I know that a whole lot of effort and research went into creating the best possible space, and it looks really beautiful. So I'm excited about this.
Mayor? Once again, I want to note the team put a whole lot of work into this and I'm really excited about it. It is truly beautiful. And of course, this amendment is an upgrade to the zoning. So it's just very exciting. Well done, team.
I just wanna say, I know that this program, all the work that went into this presentation took a very long time. Yet again, we saw a lot tonight that, I mean, this is a culmination of, I think over a year's worth of work. So incredible job. I am extremely impressed. So far, I'll go through one by one, but I have not heard any recommendations that are costing our residents more. And I am so extremely excited about several of these initiatives. Can we go back to the slide asking us the different questions? I was trying to track them all, the very last slide.
Right. Thank you. The only one I really wanted to hone in on, which I think was just answered during Councillor Ireland's discussion, was the volume size, number three. And I'll just confirm one more time that there's no upcharge, right? The price is staying the same. The fee would only reduce if they got a smaller container. Is that right? That is correct. Okay, that was the only thing I wanted to hone in on. Otherwise, just truly very exciting stuff. Good job, guys. Thank you.
I am an exuberant yes, yes, yes. I can't say enough. This is so exciting. And I'll just say for the record that number four, I mean, polystyrene should have been banned in like the 70s forever. And somehow we're still dealing with this. Bags, as we know, we know exactly how damaging they are to humans, to health, to the environment. It goes on and on and on. And we've managed to successfully get rid of them in most places. There's no reason we should be allowing it here. Skipping this stuff is something we should do because that's just waste that's going in the trash. You don't ask for it.…
