We have in the stage sessions that everybody should participate in. By the time it comes to us here, it's because the parties have agreed for a settlement. So we should not be having discussions on the dais.”

“Thank you, Chief. I really appreciate that. I think that would be a huge relief and help for both of us. So I look forward to seeing a positive outcome on that. And we'll do a weekend on our part to make sure we communicate to the county the importance of that and the efficiency it would create for our business community. And even our residents. So thank you very much.”

“Madam Clerk, before we move on, I do have a question for the city attorney. We do have two items for this property today. The second reading of the rezoning, I believe, as well as the site plan approval. Could we take up both items at the same time?”
“Okay, so let's go ahead and read the other item into the record now. Madam Clerk, I should have done this during agenda order. With business, I apologize. But I think for efficiency purposes, it's best to do them both together.”
