  1. Yeah, I mean, it's annoying that we, you know, have our chains cut down, but it's like how many times do you replace the chain?

  2. Yeah, I mean, I don't know when last time the chain was replaced, when it got cut down. I mean, I don't want to just leave it cut down. I say if you're going to leave it cut down, remove the bollards that hold the chain. It's like otherwise it just tells people go cut the chains and we don't care.

  4. I have a question. Yes, Carter. Shocker, huh? It's not an ordinance. So what if a future mayor wants to do it a completely different way? What makes sense that they have to do what the policy says? Since when do we make rules that then mean future elected officials have to follow that?

  5. So I guess to my end point, there's no teeth behind the policy. It's a policy. It's not an ordinance. There's T's for staff. Okay. But as far as the elected officials, there's nothing that says they have to do it this way.

  6. Okay. In a nice way. I'm not saying I love it, but I'm just like I've seen other mayors who would just say to this policy and do it their own way.

  7. Mayor, before we start on this, though, to a point that we had talked about with this item before, are you going to participate in this item?

  8. I mean, it sounds like they took a really complicated situation and they figured it out and they're just needing us to sign off on it.

  9. So just to confirm that, it's K&D Family Trust, the full six-scale construction, rock-solid builders... And the laws, those are the four? Does that sound about right, Jesse?

  10. So does DSI, did they just not do gate cameras or why did they not bid? Do you have any idea? Did you hear from them?

  11. And move that we put this on consent for next week. Second. I have a motion. We all second this.

  12. My question or point just had to do with you, I think, answered it, which is I don't love that we pick the engineer, and then on the project they're allowed to tell us the price because what are we going to do? But FAA checks their price, and you compare it with an outside engine. Is that what you said? There are checks and balances. Yeah, there's checks and balances to the whole process. So once we have the agreement, they can't just be like, well, now we can do whatever we want. It's just the rules regardless.

  18. Mayor, if I may, I actually do have one question. And it's not something really to discuss now, but I'm just curious if we need to put it on the agenda for following meetings. We all got the email this week from Nicole Rosenberg about these PIDs. Is there anything, maybe Paul, is there anything we need to do or be involved in any of what's going on or

  20. With the release versus replace though, I guess that does raise the question for Sam Dodd's appointment, is he filling the remainder of a term or are we starting a new term over for him? Whatever hers was. I think she had just started. I think this is pretty much. So he's finishing her term?

  24. So then why? But once it's in, I don't know why we have to go in an environment. Once they turn it over to us, it's our city street and it's our island. We can tear the thing out if we wanted to.
