Yep Casper no key a couple of questions Do we know when this road was added to the master plan? I?
That was one of the things I was trying to get to. We sit here and say, well, how come we didn't update the road when we put in the yard? Well, the yard was there before the road was master planned.
So just the other thing I was going to say to Councilman Cox's point, and one of the things that we do have to try to remember, I mean, we're sitting here now talking about... If we require them to do it, it's a road to nowhere, right? But anybody now, most likely it was designed this way. Tom can speak otherwise if that's the case. Most likely we know nothing will ever be developed right here on the south side of that road because that lot is so tiny. Where are we looking? Right there. That'll probably never have a building permit pulled. But that's not to say, I mean, if the Brimleys ever…
I still don't get how we didn't follow the same rule.
Okay, so just walk me through this then. In that situation... where it touches the property in a T-shape, like what part do we just do the 50 feet? That's all we would have had? I mean, per our ordinance, Kent, when we pulled the permit to redo the building, how much of that road per the ordinance would we have been? But there's no road that goes there. The road doesn't go there.
You're talking about the one that goes up behind and through.
So to Matt's point, Mike, geez, where did I get Matt from?
I know, but why am I so stuck on Matt? Sorry. To Mike's point, so if we were to just turn it into a dedicated road, not a master planned road, Randall, what does that look like? So each person gives some of the, I mean, how do we end up with all the road dedicated to the city and what does that road look like?
But as soon as we, if we unmaster plan it and take it as a, just a dedicated road, if, if we ever wanted asphalt down there, we would be putting the bill up. Not any of the property owners.
So with that. Mike, I mean, even if we change it to a dedicated road, which sounds like that's what you were inclined to ask us to do, then what do we do about the improvements still have to happen? What is the thought there?
And as just a dedicated road, not a master-planned road, we then have the ability to change what that road looks like, like the one we just did on 100 East, correct? It doesn't have... I mean, as a dedicated road, we can change... Or is it the same... Does it look the same? Is it the same type of road as a master-planned road? Is it the same section? Is it the same curb?
So we could, Randall, if this direction we went on, we could leave it as a master planned road and put a deferral in there that says when we somehow attach it to airport road, that's when he's then required to do his. That's a possible.
then that's when he has to put his piece in.
And I only made that suggestion going off of our engineer's opinion of he's not as concerned about this. It's when this whole area develops, not having any other access, how do we get people out to Airport Road? So that's why I feel if there is one trigger, I think it should be Airport Road. Councilman Cox.
One thing I've realized over time is there's five different people up here with five different ways of doing things and so my opinion is You're just gonna have to propose what you want to do and then bring it to us and let us yes or no it like I don't know how is the discussion helped I
I think the uncle here wants to say something.
This engineer has more experience than any of them, so... Mike, will you come up here and use the pointer?
Hey, hey, hey, Tom. You're not on the agenda for that.
Tom's wanting us to also undedicate the green road as well. Well, I mean, it makes sense.
Thank you. Thanks for being one of my best professors ever, too, by the way. He hasn't changed.
Yes. Could you show us an aerial too, Kent? I mean, kind of just orient me a little bit better at least, please. From the roundabout? I know where the roundabout is. I just kind of.
Yeah, that's 310 acres is ours. Okay, all right. Yeah, it's city land.
So would that also include battery-operated motorized bicycles?
So what signs do we have up? Because that was my question. So a person walking does not classify under this the signage as a person trespassing.
Can we even block access to the BLM, though? Like, that's my, for a motorized vehicle, if a person wants to take a, I mean, are we allowed to, if we're the access?
