  1. Okay. I move to approve resolution number. We have to do first reading. Yes. You should approve. Okay. I was just going to say, what is it? I approve or consider. Here. Sorry. I move for a second reading by title, a first reading. I move for a first reading by title only of ordinance number 5993-26. Sorry, 1457-26. Second.

  4. Well, first of all, thank you very much for all the work across all the departments that the city staff has done. And thank you as well to clean water services. It's kind of an amazing model that we have. and I feel really fortunate. I did have a couple just points of information questions, not about the agreement, but just in general since we're all here. I was curious when you talked about enforcement, is there a place that it's located that you can look up if there's been citations around, since it's a public?

  5. Okay, and there's not patterns or anything that we need to be worried about?

  6. Okay. And then I just want to also, I just keep advocating around water and technicians and I just want to thank the technical service people for their expertise and hope that we can keep supporting more people to fill those roles. And then I had one other question about, well two I think, is Is there I'm just concerned you know it's interesting the other day at a conversation with somebody and they talked about how people couldn't paddleboard on certain parts of the river because of the drought being so bad and I'm just curious like as far as extended planning for services and how we manage…

  7. I know that we do that, but I mean, at a certain point,

  8. Yeah. I'd be interested in what that is. And then, finally, I am also wondering about when it's the parts of the management, like so we're downriver from other users that source the same basin and we're looking at PFAS measures and things like that. How do we as a city protect ourselves and how does clean water services help us in managing some of the things that can happen from industry further upstream?

  9. Okay. Yeah, I heard some kind of startling numbers from some environmental people that I know about changes in measurements, so I was just curious about that and wanted to follow up on what you guys saw.

  10. Yeah, I don't have any facts so far. So I like data, so I really appreciate the information.

  11. All right. Well, we have a resolution before us. I'll make a motion to approve Resolution 5993-26, authorizing the city manager to execute an intergovernmental agreement with Clean Water Services for ongoing operations and cooperative management. Second.

  12. Thank you, Mayor. Hi, guys. Thank you very much for your presentation. It's not over yet. I know it's not over. I'm curious, when we go back to the map of the new one, So is that all residential in the yellow or all the yellow is residential? Yes. And so then the commercial CIO still stays its own? Correct. Yes. That's all I want to know. Thank you very much.

  13. First of all, thank you for bringing up the park rangers. I didn't know that we weren't doing park rangers anymore. I don't think we had a specific conversation about that. I remember when we brought that on. And so that's interesting, so I really appreciate you bringing that up to us. I also understand the concern about the recycling. I also have an issue with the ones here. They're not clearly marked. And so I do think we could do a much better job in our recycling and waste. But I also don't know what the whole... Contract situations like with the Republic, but they're great for our homes.…

  14. I have a question about this too. I think for our attorney, I'm just curious with not having, I didn't know about the cell reception at Eibach. I'm there a lot. And anyway, my concern is around if there was an accident at the park, And people can't reach emergency services. And we know that this is happening. Do we have liability as a city?

  15. Okay. So, anyway, it seems to me. I think we should pursue it. It seems really concerning to me.

  16. I also just think having a gap where there's kids playing ball and stuff like that is a really serious thing. So I don't know if there's a way to strengthen the argument or understand the level of service from which carrier so that we can be sure that we at least post which ones work. That to me seems like it might motivate some of the people, some of the companies where it doesn't work. Thank you. Just to be like, if there's an emergency because the chief can call out, that's great. But if you're sitting at the park and you can't call them, then if somebody gets hit in the head, sometimes…

  17. I just had a question if, for instance, the maintenance did fall to us. Have we done the math about what kind of percentage increase it would be for our road maintenance program?

    Aug 10, 2026

  18. Okay, so it's less than a mile of road maintenance, if it were to fall to us?

  19. That's my only question. I'd just like to know, because if people are worried, I'd like to be able to have the information and One mile out of 80 miles about is good to know. Thank you.

  20. I just had a question. This brings up, people have asked me about with the 12th and Sherwood Road, since it's a county road, and the widening about street trees. And I'm just wondering how we make sure that we ensure the street trees. And are we going to ever see more street trees on the expanded part of 12th and Sherwood Road? Do you know? They took out a ton of trees, and everybody's been asking me, like, what's the story with the trees? And I'm like, I'm not part of the county.

  21. Right. I just would want our standards with trees to be thought about and protected.

  22. Thank you, Mayor. This is just a point of information. On Tuesday, the 28th of July, I attended the Tualatin Valley Crates board meeting where they interviewed me for being on the Tualatin Valley Crates board. And then the next day, I found out that I was appointed to that board. And that Wednesday, the 29th, I helped arrange a gallery tour for the board over at Jeffrey Allen Gallery, who's also been starting an Asian arts nonprofit. On Tuesday, the 4th of August, I was at the National Night Out. We saw the chief, our wonderful CIO leadership, which we just saw, and Commissioner Treece came…

  23. Earlier, we had the CIO community talk about their desire to see more recycling on city property, especially the parks. And I'm just curious, from your perspective, is that in the realm of possibility? And are there things that we should know about that as a city?

  24. And then I've seen in other countries and things like that, there are specific containers that you can only put certain things in. There's ones for cans and ones for, and I'm just wondering if there's any best practices around helping with identifying recycling versus non-recycling, especially in public buildings like our buildings and our parks.

  25. Thanks to everybody that came tonight to our city council meeting. It's a busier night than usual. And I appreciate the work that the city's done in negotiating and what people have talked about around our deal with the county. I appreciate the conversation around the technology. It's funny, I've been talking about lamb because of that book chip wars and my brother's a computer geek and so the fact that we can get to this micro micro level is really really different than AI and very Smart brilliant stuff And I'm also curious because I understand that there has to be really clean areas, and so…
