Regular BusinessItem 4.a

Consider/act on the Food Truck Permit for Lai Thai Kitchen for a Food Truck Renewal for calendar year 2026, located at 536 E. Wisconsin Avenue.

The applicant submitted plans for their full calendar year permit for a food truck to operate at 536 E. Wisconsin Avenue for the 2026 calendar year. The truck previously operated at this location in 2024 and 2025. The applicant is now requesting a renewal for calendar year 2026. Property Location: 536 E. Wisconsin Avenue (Vacant Lot – Formerly a Gas Station) Tax Key Number OCOC 0563.025. Property Owners: Reena & Pooja Singh. Applicant: Michael Eckert. Existing Zoning: GC – General Commercial Zoning District. Lot Size: 9213 SF (.2115 acres). The food trailer conforms with all the zoning regulations. Recommendation: Plan Commission APPROVE the food truck application plans for Lai Thai Kitchen at 536 E. Wisconsin Avenue, subject to the following: 1. The approval is good until December 31, 2026. Applicant shall come back to the Plan Commission in December for approval to operate in 2027. 2. Applicant is allowed to have a maximum of 2 tables and seating for 8. 3. One non-truck sign is allowed. 4. Inspections by the Fire District and Building Inspection shall be conducted as needed. 5. The food truck shall only operate between the hours of 10:00am to 10:00pm, Monday thru Sunday.
