On June 2nd, the Social Services Center hosted a Goal Getters Soccer Jersey Craft Night, where family and friends came together to show their love for the game by decorating t-shirts in their favorite team colors. On June 3rd, Mayor Jennifer Perez presented a certificate honoring Cerritos College for the Child Development Center Expansion Project, which will expand educational opportunities and support families for years to come. On June 4th, Mayor Perez presented certificates recognizing Girl Scouts for advancing in their scouting journey and demonstrating leadership that positively impact their community. Later that same day, Mayor Perez and Council stopped by Mr. Rosewood's Family Restaurant to help celebrate the astounding achievement of 10 years in business. The Norwalk Wendy's received a full Minions makeover on Thursday, June 11. The Wendy's location transformed its drive-through into an immersive, themed experience, giving guests an early first taste of the new Wendy's Minions & Monsters meal before its June 15 release. Mayor Perez and council stopped by as the city reminded drivers to stay safe while enjoying all the Minions mischief. The City of Norwalk held its annual Commissioners Appreciation Dinner on June 12th, bringing together residents who serve on city commissions for an evening of connection and conversation. Commissioners received updates on public safety, community development projects, and capital improvement projects happening throughout Norwalk.
