Per chair. And then
I I will I will think I know how to handle that one. Should we wait for Bella to come back? Yep. Absolutely. Okay. Anybody want to have a free I want to get back to getting back to the Parks and Rec advisory report. When? When are we gonna, like, formulate that? Because a lot of the issues that we're gonna discuss are going by the wayside.
These are all the topics that you would like to discuss Yeah. At this I can reach out to the liaison for the part
I I don't I don't We don't
Our our liaison did have a a very fan large family emergency. She lost her husband.
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.
So, I mean, there was she was out for January. K. And we've had three months in the last year where we were not able to form a form.
I actually I understand that.
Actually, I believe there was four because I was involved with the North Port University project.
You gave
a very
good Great.
So I wasn't at three meetings Okay. Excused because I was doing the other thing. Okay.
Okay. And then but
we finally have some new members. And, again, I'm able to speak on our behalf on your behalf there so we can get things more come on with
that. Absolutely. And that's great. Great. Okay. I'm gonna get us back on track.
So at this point, we'll roll it for the next meeting. If there's any additional topics, we can include them and Good take it from
deal. Right now, I am seeking nominations for chair. Does anybody have any nominations for chair?
I nominate Casey.
Okay. We have Casey nominated for chair. Are there any other nominations for chair? All those in favor for Casey's chair?
So we'll need a, now that the nominations
have been closed. Oh, okay.
Just need a motion, for Casey to be chair. Yeah.
Okay. All right. Hearing no other nominations, I close the nominations and request a vote. All those in favor of Casey as chair?
Motion before Someone needs to make the motion.
Okay. So we need the nomination, and now we just need a motion.
Okay. I
make a motion to nominate Casey.
All right. I need a second.
Not No. No. It's mostly just for the motion maker and the seconder. The vote is fine.
Okay. All right. All those in favor. It's unanimous. Casey, you're the new chair.
Okay.
Okay. Now the next part's yours, new chair.
Future agenda items.
No. You gotta make
a motion for vice chair.
Motion for vice chair. I nominate Bella.
You know what? I'll second that. Yeah.
I nominate William English.
Oh, I can't second that. Okay. Do we have any other nominations? How are we gonna do this? You gotta do this. You got two nominations. I am trying to so
Okay. And then you nominated Mr. English? So you would make a motion in order that the nominations were received? So
Motioned. Appel is cabinet.
So as the chair, you're not allowed to make the motion, but someone else can make the motion? That one. And then if EB, then you vote on the next one.
Oh, that's silly. Yes. Okay. I vote though. You're the chair, man. You got the night handling.
I was told
for the motion.
Chuck English, aye.
Casey McGowan, aye.
Yada Kang, aye. Aye. Aye.
Okay. Motion carries unanimous. Okay. You just all opened me up to be able to do more stuff. Okay.
There. My hair.
Yeah, baby. Congratulations. Congrats. You too, dude. Too bad. Yeah. Couldn't happen to us. I said, you have no idea. You think you had problems with me before?
Thank you for your work, Chuck.
Yeah. I love it. I've only done it for eight years, so that's enough.
So you wanna be a future agenda items?
So No. You want me to help you out? Oh, I
see that. Okay. Item nine, a 24 dash eleven fifty eight future agenda items.
I would like to bring up the MacArthur Creek Access maintenance project and the proposed on whole forestry, fire, what's the word on? Fireloading mitigation. Okay?
if you can get stuff from them, or I can send you a whole bunch of stuff I got from Robin.
Thank you, mister Chuck. Would you like to define those the verbiage of those future items?
Okay. I I'm gonna tell you what the biggest question I have is why they don't have to do surveys. Okay.
I can forward it like that.
Simple as that.
Again, I'm going to and this is going to be the mantra. Rules for me, but not for thee. It's the yeah, basically. As it relates to the city, residents, developers have to follow our codes.
So I just wanted to specify generally. I have not seen this specific environmental study for the debris removal.
Okay.
But they do obtain environment. The city does work to obtain environmental studies. And I know that our team has assisted as well in more than one cases. As it relates to these projects? Now specifically, if we can split those between the so right now, I'm talking about the debris removal for the creek. Even specific to that, yes.
Okay. So
Now regarding the Florida forestry service that can be a separate item for discussion, of course, if the board chooses. But So So
if I happen to see as part of the project where a piece of equipment has gone down, right, a tract excavator gone down and come within two feet of an active burrow. That's not an issue?
That is an issue. I never said that it's not. And Okay. Just to explain, in
this case Okay.
I just want to clarify.
If you happen to see something like that, no matter who is the project entity for this
city is
city is perfect, perfect, but does those state regulations apply to the city as well. Exactly. So
Again, that's where the issue is. You can get in trouble. They can't because it's a grant and their contractors. The contractors get the issue not the city. Okay. Sorry, don't mean that. So is
it like a project plan for that?
Yeah, there is.
For which one? I'm sorry. The forest fire. So for the forest fire underbrush, I do not I am
not aware
the other than the broad project scope, I am not aware of any of these specifics. And like I said, that work is done by the Florida Forest Service. I am sure that they have one, but I don't know what that entails exactly.
What is that? Like, record or
All Florida records are public records. With the government, with the state government are public record.
So we would be able go
online somewhere and find out exactly what's considered under brush. I
am sure that the scope of this project is defined somewhere online. I personally am not too familiar with it. I
it, and I will share it with you. I have it, and I'll share it with you.
What? The underbrush?
All all the data that applies to these projects.
So can we get an email?
You send them all
to Mr. Chuck sends that my way, I can then share it with all the members. Gladly.
Let's do that. And I think we're going to talk about it at our next meeting.
I think there's probably about two fifty pages of data.
Your documents are very long usually.
Yeah. But a lot of it's not relevant, right? It just that I think of
forest fire mitigation or
whatever the hell is going. And my biggest concern, I'm bringing it up, the fact that I don't believe it's right that the city has to adhere to the codes within our city. I mean, the the residents have to adhere to our codes, but outside entities or certain entities do not. That's the issue. It's not.
Sure it is.
Okay. I don't think well, we have a difference between Pete.
Well,
in that case, it's
well, I think it is part of our strategy. But that's just for an issue. All right. I'm not sure. I'm more so I can handle it.
You have to see.
Do you have that on the agenda?
Ali, did you have
any questions
as well?
Sorry, this is my first meeting. I am uninformed about this project. But I just want to ask some clarifying questions that will help me understand better. So what will the actual projects look like in practicality? Like, how what will they how will they execute it? How it would look like to be
Well, right now, they're putting
So if I could just only just because this agenda item is only advertised for future agenda items, we can only discuss putting it on the agenda. We can't really get into the details of what the project entails until next meeting when it's
on the agenda, then you could look into it.
Thank you. I will gladly We have to go on the agenda. And they will be on the agenda next
time. We
can discuss.
Any other items for future discussion? Hearing none, we're adjourned.
Do we know
You mean like an audit after the fact? Yeah. So don't know if I got a question. Yeah. Let's put that on the next agenda. What's the audit after a project's done to see if it's met all different environmental is that what you're thinking? Yes. Thank you. Great idea.
Wonderful. Yep. I can formulate these items.
I thought that was already out. Up.
That's the data that I'm going to be giving him.
Oh, okay. Any other future items? Going once, twice. Thank you. We're adjourned.
