All right, so old business. Updating the Sophia and Maria Saidi Memorial Scholarship Program. Is that Julie? Julie!

Um, if you recall the item, um, I was out of town for this meeting because it was rescheduled. So now it's going to be February. So we have to wait until February 18th. Okay. Um, but the item has been switched over. So it'll be February 18th and we'll see, um, what the commissioners decide on the dais. Okay.

So just to update, if we go back to the old minutes, the new people. So we were requesting there's, what, $5,500 for scholarships. We were requesting it be split up for $3,000 for high school students, $2,000 for middle school, and then $500 for the Optimist Club that the village usually helps with their scholarship. And that's what Julie is going to present to them as what our recommendation is. Any questions on that?

We have a tentative date. I think we're going to do April 12th this year from 10 a.m. to noon. Um, it'll basically be similar to last year. We'll have the Easter bunny. Um, I want to do a petting zoo again. We'll have a DJ. Um, we'll have a raffle TBD on the rides. I'm trying to figure that out right now. Um, and then tentatively it's at ties this, um, new community center is moving along. So we might not have ties by then if construction starts. And in that case, I'll just move it to Vogel. So everything that I'm planning, I have to be able to fit at Vogel Park too, which almost limits me a little bit. But for right now, I'm planning to do it at ties. I just bought all of my Easter eggs today. I got double the amount of eggs as last year last year i got 5 000 and i felt like they went really fast so i got 10 000 eggs this year um and yeah let me you start filling those now no i i buy them pre-filled oh thank goodness yeah filling 10 000 eggs would be crazy yeah it would take me months um so that'll just be like the sign when people get there just so that they know what's going on And then that's the layout that I'm thinking. So the eggs will be back here versus over here, if you guys remember from last year. I'll have a tent, the DJ, the petting zoo, some face painters, and yeah. Okay. Sounds good. If anyone has any suggestions or comments, I'm always more than happy.

Halloween was a nice shower after the Halloween event, I remember.

I'll chime in quickly because Jose is not on the call, and I think he might know more about it than the rest of us. What I can tell you, so Commissioner Cook is in Tallahassee right now with the mayor to meet with some elected officials up there at the state capitol. So I know this is his event. What we do know is that we're going to meet with the stakeholders next week over the phone. It's going to be at Palm Tree Club. It is a event that I think is like a tech meetup for people in the tech industry and residents, like a happy hour networking event. And I think this organization also has a scholarship element for kids that might need tech in their schools. That is all I know so far. But probably, well, actually, I was going to say our next meeting, we'll kind of cut it close to this event. It's March 6th. But feel free to reach out if you have any questions and we can be in touch over email. But there's just not much that we know about it right now.

I'm very happy and excited. You know, I'm i'm at the meeting tonight because i'm just trying to understand and learn as much as i can but i just wanted to say about the event on march uh that commissioner cook is uh sponsoring it's an amazing event and it's also done through the chamber of commerce in north bay village so we have a new chamber and i want to encourage everyone to look into membership opportunities and also ways that we can work together for future events and anything we can do to help each other. That would be great. Commissioner Cook is also a member. I'm a founding member. And it's going to be a wonderful event in March. So thank you again, all of you, and continue with your meeting.

Um, I'm not sure we'd have to check, but I know he offered doing, um, another food, dinner meeting in person. If we want to do that instead, if we want to pivot.

If we can't do the chambers and yes, it's just that since we do have to do a election, I'd like for it to be recorded. We can't do that over dinner.
