Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. Uh the full audio of the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is available at www.c city ofnacish.la.gov. The next city council meeting is May the 12th here at the council chamber, 716 uh 2nd street. We don't have a reasonzoning app. No, they did not complete their application in time to make the agenda. I'm sorry about that. We talked about it this afternoon. Evidently, they were deficient by a document or two. Yes, sir. All right. So, there are no reszoning applications. The only thing we have pending tonight are reubdivisions. Any uh so those matters will not be automatically docketed. If they are not appealed within 10 days uh in writing addressed to the mayor and the city council, then they will be uh uh final. I will sign the application tonight. Mr. Thornton, either you or or the Fredericks, one of them needs to come and get this in about 11 days. Take it over to Mr. Stamy to be recorded. Um, I'm just addressing you because you've got the only thing on the uh application. If the attendees haven't signed in, please do. I'll ask the speakers to identify themselves and speak clearly. Our next planning and zoning commission meeting is on June the 3rd, 2025. Given the fact that Mr. Thornton's the only person here, I'll dispense with the other preliminary comments. Anything else, Miss Oaks, that we need to do? No, sir. Uh, number two, roll call, Miss Donna. Alexa Bernard, Anita Dubois here, Bobby Claybornne, Charles Whitehead the third here. Isaac Lewis here. Michael Lewis here. Ricky Mallister here. Sadie Sawyer. Yeah. Here. Walter Johnson.

4:45 – 6:430

All right. By M. That's a a cor. Yes, sir. It is. Uh, number three, approval of the minutes. Uh uh number 3.1 confirmation of the minutes. Commissioners have been provided the minutes from a prior meeting on April the 1st, 2025. If there are no additions, deletions, or corrections, I'll entertain a motion to wave their formal reading and accept them as proposed. So move second. Motion by Lewis, second by Duboce. All in favor say I. All oppose like sign. Donna or or Miss Oaks, please. One of y'all catch me and I'll sign it on the way out. Uh, next number, number four, old business 4.1. Uh, the city council approved the Nagadesh Picnic Company, 524 Front Street application. The city council approved an application for the Nagash Picnic Company resz on the following location. Track one, 0.253 acres shown on a plat by Mr. Brandon C. Thornton dated June 24, 2024 recorded at map slide 886A of the records of Mage Parish, Louisiana from B3 to include an additional BA zoning. I show no other old business. Moving on to number five, new business. Uh 5.1, the application of Mr. Alfred Frederick and others uh for lots located on 3175. Uh uh that's Louisiana 3175 highway to subdivide the following 18.79 acres in section 41 township 9 north range 7 west less less lots 1 to 12 including the north by uh inclusive north by bayou bay east by cathy south by frederick west by frederick less a

6:38 – 8:350

lot to Manning less 0.21 21 acres and 33.277 acres being 41.27 acres in section 16 township 9 north range 7 west less 8.043 acres of the state of Louisiana lots located on Louisiana Highway 3175. The reason for this is to sell property. Uh council person district number four, exhibit number one in commissioner packet. Uh Miss Oaks, I guess your acting director. Please summarize the application while Mr. Thornton comes forward to ask questions. Mr. Frederick just wishes to subdivide his property for the purpose of sale and the the office received no inquiries regarding the application. It's pretty straightforward. And what's it zoned? Do you know? It's currently zoned um I don't want to tell you wrong. I do believe it's currently zoned I1. Okay. All right. Mr. Thornton, you heard the comments by the acting director. Can you tell us the only thing I if you got anything to add, only thing that concerns me is what kind of frontage is going to be left. Is there anything that's going to be stranded on the other side of that um that right away to the south of the property? Uh no sir, the the remaining property has access from the south. It looked like it to me over there off of not Washington but what is it? Uh West Lake, I believe. So, my mouth cuts off just short of there, but I believe that's correct. All right. I I just it it's going to be it's going to be sticky because it just does not look like

8:32 – 10:310

they've got a bunch of access on that end. They got it, but you're going to get creative if you're called in to uh develop the balance because it doesn't look like it's been about 200 feet on West Lake Shore. Now, I know some of those lots 1 through 12 are probably owned by the same principles, so they can probably get it squared away. Correct. But, you know, uh just need to get creative when we come in next time. Sure. I gave the same warning to the folks over there between u the Dollar General and the U movie theater. They had paired it down to where there was something and they were left with about 100 100 feet of frontage for about 15 acres and it looks like the Frederick's and Miss Horton are about to do the same thing to themselves. So, it's allowed. I have no objection, but it's going to get tight next time. Anything you need to ask uh of me after that comment because I'm gonna turn it over to the board members. No, sir. All right. Questions for Mr. Thornton by members of the board. Hearing none. Is there discussion by members of the board? I move we approve the application. Motion by Duboce. Second. Second by Lewis. All in favor say I. I. All oppose like sign. I've signed this plat Mr. Thornton. They will take uh it's what next week they'll take it to the uh city department heads and get it signed on what is that Monday or Tuesday morning? Uh Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning they'll get everybody signed because they'll always all be in the same place at once. Once the 11 day or 10 days has elapsed on the 11th day, you should be

10:28 – 11:260

able to come and pick it up or one of the Frederick's bring it over to Mr. understanding, have it recorded and see that uh Miss Oaks or Miss Rod gets a recorded copy. We're more interested in the map and slide number than we are the the uh clerk seal. Some people get hung up on the certified the squeeze of the seal. Sure. I want to see the number and the slide number. I don't care about the rest of that. We can make that up. Thank you, Mr. Thornton. Thank you. Appreciate you coming. Um, I have no other new business. Is that correct? No, sir. All right. Uh, office, a report of our office activities. Are we going to defer? We'll defer them for this meeting. All right. Uh, given that, uh, Miss Duboce, you're in the appropriate position. Can I have the motion? I move we journ. All in favor say I. All oppose like sign. Thank you all.
