Pray with me. Our Most Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this day that you've given us, Father. Thank you for each person that's here and what they represent tonight. Father, we just ask that you would just give us your grace and your mercy as we make decisions for the city of Milshoe. Father, we just thank you so much for the bountiful rain that you brought to our community. And we just ask that you would just bless our community and our staff and keep us all safe. Father, we love You and we thank You for all of these things and we ask all of these things in Your Son's precious name. Amen.

Gil, thanks for joining us tonight, as always, as well as the staff and some of you that are on the agenda and some guests that are not on the agenda tonight. Right now, we will take the time to receive any public comment, which you guys would. You're welcome to come up to the podium. Yes, sir. I will briefly.

Good afternoon. My name is Walter Lackey. We drove in from Tyler today, actually. I wanted to come and just introduce myself. Most of you already know. I know Gil, but I haven't seen him. in a very long time. Of course, I met Mr. Parker, Ms. Alvacon, council members, Mr. Mayor, probably Ms. Carpenter. And of course, Mr. Sanchez and I have been communicating. Played football with Juan Flores and Chief Parker. But briefly, I just wanted to introduce myself, Walter Lackey. I'm the president of L&L Ministries, Inc. We are a 501 nonprofit ministry. We're based out of Tyler, Texas. But we travel the state and I practiced law for about 15 years in Tyler and then left that markedly in 2019. Established the ministry and then here we go. And so I just wanted to come by and introduce myself and I appreciate your time, Mayor, even before. And I guess that's it. We're seeking to be on the agenda and I don't think it's going to be an issue. I think we'll probably be on the agenda next month. We're going to be And I believe resolving an issue at 1701 West Avenue G. And I expect more communication to flow. And I hope we can come to some resolution on that. Thank you for your time, Mayor. And we appreciate this council's time in Maine. As the prayer was said, May the Lord have us all be wise and make good decisions, you know, within the aspects of the authority that we all have. And I know everybody in this room has a certain amount of authority in this city or with a family. And it's a hard thing to make right decisions coming from a guy who's made good ones and bad ones and in between. So thank you for your time, Mayor. Council Members, thank you for your time. All right, we're going to roll into our agenda items. The first item on the agenda is to receive public comment concerning the 2025 Consumer Confidence Report. Is there any comment on that?

There is. It's a new report. It meets all standards set by not only the EPA, but the TCEQ. So that is, you know, that that any concerns so it's available um anybody wants a copy of it it's also on our website so we do this yearly so thank you thanks for all the hard work of all the people that contribute to getting that for us i'll make a motion that

The third item is to consider Resolution R-830-0726, approving the submission of an application requesting financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board, designated the City Manager as the authorized representative of the City of Muleshoe for the purpose of such application. Ramon, do you have any comment on that? Sure, Mayor.

Just like the resolution stated, authorized by the City Manager, This is a one-time opportunity for us to request some funding for the replacement of older lines and address water loss. It is up to $10 million. The whole project will probably probably be somewhere around there. It is 100% There's a competitive grant, but hopefully we'll get a little better at that.

Is this similar to the project that we did replacing lines a year or two ago?

It is similar, just different funding, different agency. More funding? A lot more. The other one's $750,000 maximum. This is up to $10 million. It takes a couple of months to do it and all that. Parkland engineers involved with this. They are doing OPCs on the cost and we identified some areas where we think we need to replace some water lines. So it's a great opportunity and you should get funded. It's great.

The last one that we did was like six to eight blocks worth. Is that right?

I think it was 1,200 linear feet. Okay. So, however much it was. Yes.

Wasn't that a partial matching grant?

That one is. That one, we match up to 15% of the grant. This one's not. This is 100%. Good. It is funding that the state I'll make a motion that we pass the resolution.

Our next item is to discuss and consider

block three of the country club edition mayor of turnbull blackville llc corporation uh travel temple has submitted a request for council to consider replaying loft one to three on the walkway of the country club edition to be glad it slots one a one b two a two b three a and three b on the same walkway in the country club uh it is a replat uh after we unit augmentation submitted Staff recommends to council to go ahead and approve this. It's a replant. Alleyways, streetways, utilities, none of that will be affected. So therefore, a replant is acceptable. Literally, we're taking three lots and converting to six small lots.

Mayor, council member, carpenters, and city staff, and the TMO originally meeting in the mailbox back in June 2015 at the Parmax Center for the Survey. It was a fascinating topic with data centers. It was a hot topic, so it was really interesting. our next movie in the park will be held thursday the 16th and we'll be showing minecraft i invite everybody come out and enjoy a good evening family bring your chairs bring your snacks and come enjoy that movie the next time the school supplies and summer scratch will be held on monday july 26th to give away basic school supplies to students and allow for them to swim for free at the Mews Water Park. The Mews volunteer for the farm equipment and hot dogs for that event. Also, a town hall meeting will be held on August the 3rd at 6 p.m. at the Mews Training Center to educate the community on the City of Mews' new budget, how it is in process, how we get there, the funding. I, myself, and Council Member Santa Carpenter will be making the presentation. I think we both got long and tall, but hopefully we'll be there. Open enrollment for the City of New Jersey employees will be held on August the 4th. Explanation of the benefits, options, insurance coverages, And finally, congratulating and thanking the Ministry of General Commerce for a successful Fourth of July celebration. Thanks to the City of Houston Public Works Department, Police Department, Fire Department, and all the hard work that was done during this celebration. It was a success. Lots of folks, not only from in town but out of town, So fireworks had a loose neck, but they did go off. Weather, they were open, but they were set outside.
