Because we are limited to we have only three members present today and because commissioner Miller was not present for that meeting, I will second the re the request concerning the proposed minutes. Item number four, file number 260059. Communication for the approval of classification reports as submitted.
Good afternoon, commissioner. Sara Sinsky of compensation services. We have one report for you today. This report is a request from the Department of Public Works to study various dispatch positions within fleet operations in Milwaukee Water Works. This report recommends the following.
In DPW operations fleet services, reallocating one vacant fleet operations manager from Pay Range 1 H X to Pay Range 1 J X with a recruitment rate of a 105,903, reclassifying one vacant program assistant three as a public works dispatcher lead and placing it in pay range two g n with recruitment rate of $66,304, reclassifying two positions of communications assistant four, one filled and one vacant position of program assistant three, and one vacant position of communications assistant three as public works dispatcher two, and placing in Peerage five j n with a recruitment rate of $60,973 and having an underfill title classified as public works dispatcher one and placing in peerage five I N with a recruitment rate of 58,014. In DBW Waterworks, the I'm sorry. The recommendation is to reclassify six positions of communications assistant five in pay range six MN as a public works dispatcher two in pay range five j n with a recruitment rate of $60,773. And then reclassifying four positions of communication assistant three in pay range six k n as a public works dispatcher one and PH five I n with a recruitment rate of $58,014. The reports submitted this meeting included seven positions in the fleet service office, three of which are currently filled. Two of these employees are currently on probation and have performing the duties since being hired. No additional probationary time is recommended.
The third employee, Rashida Pickett, has been performing these duties for some time, and so no probationary period is recommended. The two positions in the waterworks are filled by employees who have been performing these duties for some time, and no new probationary period is recommended. No commission action is required. Item number six, file number 260110. Communication from the Common Council City Clerk's Office to extend the temporary appointment for Latasha Williamson, administrative specialist retroactive from 05/29/2022 through 11/09/2025.
Prior to the meeting commissioners, we received the following, a letter from Dana Zelazny, deputy city clerk, who explains that miss Williamson went on a leave of absence to accept an exempt appointment as executive administrative assistant. The title of administrative specialist was chosen for this action in consultation with our department of employee relations so that a citywide market study could be applied to miss Williamson who returned to her position in November 2025. They also provided temporary appointment paperwork, job description, and miss Williamson's resume. For the record, I'd like to point out that this transaction is primarily from my point of view, is primarily a salary administration matter and not actually a, three year temporary appointment. Having said that, do my fellow commissioners have any comments or questions?

Prior to the meeting commissioners, we did receive a letter from Lisa Gilmore, the city attorney human resources administrator. She explains this position directly supports the city attorney. They provided temporary appointment paperwork, job description, and mister Newton's resume. Do either of the other commissioners have any comments or questions?

Item number eight, file number 260115, communication from the Department of Employee Relations to extend the temporary appointment for Sarah Trotter, human resources manager for eight months retroactive from April 2026 through 12/31/2026.
Prior to, for the record, we are receiving a letter from Ms. Trotter concerning this appointment. Mhmm. And we we received the commission prior to the meeting, we received a letter from Jackie Carter, employee relations director, who explains that Ms. Trotter, is exceptionally well qualified, will be providing technical and supervisory support because and this is the key to this item because other staff are involved in the implementation of the replacement for the PeopleSoft system.
They also have a temporary appointment paperwork, job description, and Ms. Trotter's resume. Do either of the other commissioners have any comments or questions?
I would just echo what, president Bach said that, we're very fortunate that Sarah is available. I haven't worked with her. She's very competent, and, but, yeah, we're lucky to have her. So I would move approval.

Item number nine, file number 260116. Communication from the office of the mayor regarding the temporary appointment for Karen Tyler, communications and community engagement director retroactive from 02/15/2026 through 04/20/2026.
Prior to the meeting commissioners, we received a letter from Nick DiCieto, chief of staff, who explains that miss Tyler was selected because she has extensive experience in matters related to public safety and community wellness. This temporary appointment will recognize work she did prior to April 21. There's also the temporary appointment paperwork on a job description. Do the other commissioners have any comments or questions?

Prior to the meeting, commissioners received the following. A letter from Nick DiCieto, chief of staff, explaining that the this office became a separate stand alone department. Through the transition to that status, Ms. Reed worked to establish a new department. This amended temporary appointment will compensate her for that work. There's also the temporary appointment paperwork on a job description. Do the other commissioners have any comments or questions?

He reports that Ms. Williams has had additional duties added to the implementation of a new data system for the department. A reclassification resulting from that those additional duties has been requested. They also provided the temporary appointment paperwork and a job description. Prior to the meeting, we received a letter from Michael Todoradis, the commissioner of health, in support of the request. They also provided the administrative reinstatement request paperwork. Do the other commissioners have any comments or questions?

Item 13, file number two six zero one one four, communication from the Department of Compliance and Engagement to extend the probationary period for Andrew Beal, data and evaluation specialist for six months from 06/10/2026 through 12/10/2026.
Prior to the meeting, commissioners, we received the following, a letter from Mary Reed, the director of the Department of Compliance and Engagement. In the letter, she lists a number of performance concerns. There is a report of probationary service, and there is a, in my opinion, a detailed performance improvement plan plus a job description. Do the other commissioners have any comments or questions?
I would just comment that it did seem to be a very, thorough, detailed performance improvement plan that the individual signed, and, I think that's helpful with providing the opportunity for improvement, that kind of description. So I would move approval.
