Election Commission - Regular Meeting

I'll call the meeting to order at 9.07 a.m. Mr. Deputy Clerk, could you call the roll, please?

Thank you. Next order of business is the report on the unofficial election night results.

All right, from the partisan primary election that was held on August 11th, we had in Milwaukee County 499,000, 705,000 total registered voters with 180,927 ballots cast with a total turnout of about 36%, which is pretty on average for the August partisan primary. I will go right into the report for the selected wards for our voluntary audits. Item number, or letter D, as you all know, we do a random voluntary audit every single election to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of our voting equipment in Milwaukee County. For this election, we have selected two Milwaukee wards, ward 182 and ward 33, both central counts. wards, and then Whitefish Bay wards 8 and 10, Oak Creek ward 15 for the polling place, and Franklin ward 9 central count. And so upon or toward the end of the canvas portion of our of the canvas or the audit part, we will take a look at all of those to ensure that the ballots match up with the totals from the voting at Okay.

Any other business?

The only other thing is, so we have until Friday the 21st to be able to certify the results. We are hoping in discussion with Commissioner Martin, she has some availability on the 20th. That probably is going to be the best day for her. And I think that we would be able to accomplish that. So just to As a heads up to both of you, you know, of course, we'll play it by ear and let you know. If we certainly can finish faster than that, we'll also let you know.
