Mr. Posey? Aye. Mr. Culp? Aye. Mr. Berry? Aye.
We've got a new business. Mr. Snyder, you have resolutions 76, 77, and 78.
Good evening, board. Resolution 76 and 77 both pertain to salary adjustments for the public works director and the community development director. Both these directors have been in their current roles for the past four years. Recently, the board conducted a wage and performance review of these positions and has made a recommendation that you see in the attached resolutions. I do want to say that both Mr. Schweikert and Mr. Carlson have performed admirably certainly in the past year in terms of the level of work that they've been conducting and that their departments have been conducting, both specifically with the parks. Again, Mr. Schweikert's department dealt with one of our area's largest winter storm events. for the past several decades this last winter we received a number of positive comments from the public regarding the department's performance this past year we've received again as we've noted a number of positive comments regarding the condition of our parks as they continue to improve i want to specifically compliment both directors for their work and seeking out to grant and other funding opportunities to perform a lot of the work that we've done this past year specifically with the parks but also with state capital grants which have allowed us for example to replace the leaf collection equipment that the public works department operates I know Mr. Carlson's not here tonight, but certainly he's been involved in spearheading a lot of our large economic development projects, which you're all certainly aware of. I think we've been on a good road of success this past year and certainly compliment both of them for their ongoing performance.
Any questions regarding these resolutions? No. Certainly easier to consider these when they're under such a strong track record of success. Resolution 78.
Resolution 78 is to authorize an agreement for Chief Information Security Officer. Recently, we were informed by our previous cybersecurity company that they would no longer be able to provide the level of service that we had originally contracted them for. One of their employees is departing and will be operating under the fortress cyber secure flag. And at this time, we would like to continue services specifically with that employee. And this agreement would continue the services that we've been previously receiving from waypoint under the fortress cyber secure and actually at a reduction of our monthly cost for those services so if there are any questions i'd be happy to take those any questions on this resolution
chief nielsen you have resolution number 79-2026 a resolution to authorize the township administrator to execute a grant award agreement yes i do thank you board um i spoke about this a couple months ago we we received a state grant but we've we've had this in the 2026 budget as well and this is for our body-worn camera program cruiser cameras as well we're we're trying to play a little bit of catch up in terms of uh hardware and software upgrades so that's what um this uh this uh first expense will let us do is um we're gonna get some new hardware in that's on the network side and that's on the body uh camera side but also we'd like to get out of the server business. So we would like to use the cloud to to store all these things that will help us with the storage and the redaction that will help us offset some costs. And then the grant that we spoke to you about this spring, that will help us offset taxpayer funds going forward because we're in that subscription yearly kind of pay for service thing. So with the budget that we have this year and then the grant funds going forward, we should be in a really good spot so that we have the hardware and software that we need because we need to have cruiser and body cameras.
Thank you, Chief. Any questions? Seeing no one here for the public comment period, I will move into consideration of resolutions and motions. I move we adopt resolution number 76-2026, a resolution to authorize a salary increase for the public works director. Is there a second?
