Um, and the other thing is, um, we've had a, um, in Broward, they had a rash of burglaries and and vehicle thefts that at the end of the day can be avoided. What's happening is they're finding that most of the cars, the people are leaving the keys in the car and they're unlocked. They're leaving the keys in the car.

Yeah. So, um we don't want this to transfer over because it's happened that the majority of the cars that are being stolen the same thing has happened here even though we're not having you know a big problem with that. Is this like at the houses do you know or is it like quick like they leave their stuff at the house residential and they're leaving? Yeah. Because people get comfortable because they're like but now it's like the box key now it's like not even like you have it with like you just keep it in your purse and you just take it with you like I don't even open my door. No, right. And then the bas the fob, you leave the key that the house key, you leave everything else. So now they're taking the car

and you didn't have all your keys. So then they could come back or they could do something that same night or now you're going, "Oh my god, what am I doing?" You know, is somebody going to come back? So now you got to change all your locks. Yeah. You know, the whole night. So that's something that has been happening and just wanted to know you know. Yeah. So do you want us to share this with like at our school sites or like there is you guys can and it would be great. It's just they want to to speak. It's till next month I believe. So we just want to see if we can get the biggest amount of of participation possible. And

could I is there an age that they have to be at to report or can I No. Like if I wanted to put it post it in my room for example, you guys wanted to share with your opinion. So I'll mention officer I'll put it I live at Celebration Point so large community I'll put it up um I think the community the association wants to reach out because during dismissal time of the Miami Lakes middle um which obviously it's right there the entrance to Celebration Point you have a lot of parents just blocking the entrance so if you're trying to go into Celebration Point or trying to exit Celebration Point you can't um at the beginning of the school year there was a patrol car there and he avoided he would tell people you can't block you can't block but now so it's extending all the way to celebration

and I would say like about 330 340 you have some parents parked in the middle lane right right I I know that that's we've had those complaints but no one's mentioned celebration I mean that's far that's all we You know, that's all the way down the road. So, that's right there. That little curve. Yeah. Yeah. But, you know what I mean? Like the school the school has an area or where they let out and the cars should never reach that far going by. But if they are Okay. Okay. So, I'll I'll make it to the traffic guys so that we can have somebody there. What happens what happens with the schools and when they

when they let in and when they let out is that all of us that do the schools are at our schools. Yeah. So for us to be moving around is almost impossible. And that's the problem that we're move because things come in and then oh but I'm at Kate I can't move over to the middle school. You know stuff like that. No 100%. I know that they tried to address it with the security for the community but the cars don't pay attention to the security guards of the property. I mean but it's blocked. Like wow like blocked. See they just can't get out. You can't get out. You can't get out. it in unless there's a nice person who like you know doesn't block the entrance right and they put a sign or something

it's having somebody there you know so if I know that I'm about to get home around that time I'll try to go run some errand go do something else because I'm like I'm going to be stuck and then some people some of my neighbors have mentioned they cut through the church what's the church right in front the Piscian and that becomes a problem because now you're crossing through to try to get in. So yeah, see the good thing about those places is that they can do something about because now it's it's a church. It's like a private place and it's simple what they should it used to be a voting priest. Didn't they used to have a they don't have a tutoring program after school like after?

I don't see anything there. There's nothing going on. They um because I know like a simple solution is um is a um not a gate but a a chain just a chain from pole to pull them and that always works just simple you know simple just so that the cars can't get through. So when they're not because we're talking about it at elevate that they're they're they're always open so any car can come through and the whole thing is you know a simple simple solution is just putting that drive by so you can have an idea of what I you have to see it. It's quite the sight.

But I have noticed in Bram like at the beginning of the school year when you guys were around like it was a change. Everything was so smooth. Everybody was slow. And now like I'm coming late in the morning and then things are changing. But yeah, at the beginning of the school year it helped a lot. So maybe more present.

It's more like a courtesy, right? Like you know where you're going but there's an entrance here, right? No, they just common sense, right? Like don't block it. is getting a reface. though in the the um summer months they're going to the first phase they're going to work on it so that eventually and I don't know if it's going to happen with the first phase but eventually more cars are going to be able to go inside the school need four so you're not have you know all the cars or the cars at 455 which when Dixie actually hired an offduty offic

so it got to that point where they had to hire Yeah, I made a mistake of going to Wind Dixie once at the time that they released and there were about 40 running through the Wind Dixie. I mean running through taking I mean it was hard. I never again I've never been there. No, but this year I can not really take it forever. Remember, I'm an email away and a phone call away. If something comes up, if something makes sense, you know, cuz I I think contact.

So I talked with the kids which I have a group chat with on the meetings and everything and they told me that either they didn't know if their school had donated or they just assumed that yes so I don't have an exact number and I did reach out to my school but we also have a book drive at like on the same timeline so it kind of like worked against me I guess but I went to check and I didn't see the uh collection of box here. Yeah wasn't the box the box was in the lobby. Yeah, I at the beginning of the year call with the front desk.

Yeah, I checked anymore. So, none of the school is speaking. You remember? Was it Yeah, it was there. Yeah, it was there, right? I have right now. I wanted to see if I could like do like a visual account or something, but there's still I didn't see. So, none of the other schools have done not. No, I can't confirm. I would assume yes that they didn't but they haven't confirmed but nobody has given me like oh yes I donate my school donated x amount of books and we made sure like has told me no

I would recommend reaching out to the sponsors instead of the kids um for something like that cuz I know just based on personal experience it was hard to get confirmations on anything like last year like just go directly to the sponsors like it's nice to go to the kids but you know some kids are like you know middle schoolers and they don't exactly follow through. Yes. Too much was now when you reached out to me with Kolina from Barbara W about the value board. Oh yeah. Yes. I sent the message to the kids and I like literally every single one of them was like number. Yeah. So I think that's that's good. And I'm meeting Zoom with them. I think I want to say either May 14th,

May 16, May isn't even like one day. Um and I'll like reate that with them and I'll see I'm going to try to contact Barb um Bob Graham a different way through a different email. Yeah, because like the past times I don't know maybe they have a different person who deals with that stuff but I just haven't got response. So, I'll tell them too. Uh, yes. That that they just have it. But I think it's maybe it's just the wrong person or maybe they just coming from the beginning. I'm just going to try a different outlet just to be sure that I want to have the whole idea help you

for the YAB. It's not established yet. It's still in progress. Um, I think if anything, we'll know like by the next town council meetings. Um but it's just more so to see if like people are interested and then from there um the council and proceed as they may. It's based on it's only for Miami Lakes or is it just Okay.

So Miami Lakes right now um currently as the resolution says um it is up to debate whether that's going to be changed for you know anyone who attends a Miami school but doesn't necessarily live in Miami. That's currently a debate that's being talked about so it's still in the works. Okay. So, but are you going to reach out to the sponsors? So, hopefully respond for next month. My concern is that um obviously in May by the time you have a response there's not I mean school's going to be pretty much over by the end of May. Um I know at Barbara Bowman we've collected about 300 books. So I collected so but I I was hoping that other schools would be doing that as well. My concern is that we're not going to have enough books for like any events. We have the Mother's Day event of uh

paint a picture for mom. Paint a picture for mom and they want us there, which I know I have at the end that I'll talk about. Um but we need books for that. So we haven't done our our book inventory that we were going to get together ladies and do it. But we've been we've been busy. I know. But we do need to see because otherwise we have to do we have any money for books is my question to order books if we need. Do we need books still? You said there's still new books or There's still some new books. Not that many, but there's still new. And how much how many do did we have left after the Christmas one? We had some. We didn't give all those away. No, maybe like a box. At least they were there. It was like a box for whatever box. No, we had more than a box left. I think it was two boxes. So maybe two boxes.

Yeah. No, they're not on new gen. But I like to put new. Okay.

So then let's hold off till after the event and then we'll do this in either late May. You know the last we can do it in late May. Just graduation season. Whoever that's graduation season. Yeah. Whoever um and Mother's Day is me or whoever goes. Um we had to be very strict and not just give give. I know sometimes when I've been some people are like, "Yeah, just go take a few." No, no, no. Cuz I know sometime I don't know how you Everyone got one if you want one for your dinner. I'm like if you were struggling to get Oh, really? Even at the Christmas one, it was hard. We had to like No, so then maybe we don't need that.

That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Okay. When I did the game one time, it was so full that everybody just wanted more and more and we actually had to be like, "Do you live by any?" It was We didn't have that problem. We didn't have that problem at the Mother's Day either. No, no, I I I mean, I know I didn't do we already skipped addition to motion to move it up, but since we're talking about it already, um the May 9th event, what I'm thinking too is we're already there. So, whoever's going to go, we could do it then. The inventory then the inventory after the event's over or before. It starts at 9:00. It starts at 10:00. Touch at 10:00. Okay. So, I don't know if you guys want to do it before, like an hour before at 9:00 early or you going to do it afterwards.

You know, you're going to go with what you got anyways. Anyways, exactly. So, you might as well do it after. Who's going to that event and can stay and do it after? Saturday. One, two, three. We're making up for with the with the banner. So, find And you have everything from them that you needed that wasn't you were missing from Mario still or uh Yeah, we're going to work on updated logos so they're all white. That'll be the main change to the program unless you all see anything else you want updated on the program. Um well Jack was checking the name. Yeah, we have to check that name. Yeah, if there's a misspelling on the name, let us know so we can let Drew know about the award.

Right. Drew just texted me. He said watching. I emailed the design to review and check the spelling and information like grade and category. Okay. We we just sent it again the confirmation. I think I had told you that he wanted to confirm the name. Yeah, he has the list. So now he has sent the proofs. So now we have to look at all the go based off of this list. Okay. Okay. I don't remember where they came. I think we were supposed to check storage before this meeting and we didn't. I mean, you can always order them and they're cheap off of Amazon and then return the card holders the stick that holds up the gold table

so order the card holders and did you have like printed table numbers that we provided last year or those are gone. Those are in the trash can. So, print table I think I had a layout from last year of the numbers and a pretty font. Can I just send that to you? Sure. We can do them. Thank you. Anyway, um so I do have an update. Last year, the two boxes of the white hydrangeas were $80. Um I'm getting them from my friend, the same person. and they are now $120 because of the price of transportation gas.

So she said that the highest it would be is 120 and that she would try to do the best deal possible. Okay. So and for that you need you need um I paid for it cash and then I just gave the invoice. Yeah. Is there any way that they can do it? A check or a credit card that I can pay like online or something so you don't have to get reimbursed or do it that way. How many tables did we have daily? How many paid for? Last year we had number like last year I added two tables that were not even needed. I think it was like 15. Let me check. So what? Like do we have a confirmation how many people are?

These are like more people see. Sorry. We had about four tables empty. Remember we didn't have the intergovernmental. I don't know. Yeah. High schoolers. I know. That's free. One of the scholarship winners is not going to hold the table clock in you all agreed was for 16 tables. So we have the 1660 people. That's right. Time is 10 people on the table.

16 * 10 is 168. Okay. 160. So we have about 102. And then plus the dignitaries plus what math for math like how many people are coming? I don't know because each of these kids can bring what two guests any award. Yeah, but I figured three for each kid and then she said um four and then for council 10 for us I guess you can say one two three four five six eight nine

and then and another 10 for like district people and then sponsors that's another they get like different teams like it's a lot but I thought we told everybody like 130 yeah they bring two people but then they count themselves out to each other and then the retirees can bring three people and they count themselves two I Two people, two guests for each person. Here we go. So, you know what? I was still going to need 15 tables. It's 140. Yeah. They want 16. Then we have two
