Approval of the minutes for the Animal Service's Advisory Board's regular meeting of July 24, 2026. Board members may identify any additions or corrections to the draft minutes as transcribed.

A general update on Washoe County Regional Animal Services' programs, statistics, emerging developments, financial updates, and other matters properly related thereto for the third quarter of CY '26. WCRAS Director, Shyanne Schull.

An informational update on Nevada Humane Society's ("NHS") statistics and programs related to adoptions, transfers from WCRAS, public surrenders, spay and neuter, and community outreach programs in the third quarter of CY '26 NHS CEO, Jerleen Bryant.

Presentation and Discussion of Proposed Amendments to Washoe County Code Chapter 55 (ANIMALS AND FOWL) to comply with Nevada Assembly Bill 418 (2025) (FOR DISCUSSION ONLY)

A presentation of WCRAS's proposed amendments to Washoe County Code, Chapter 55 (Animals and Fowl) by adding a section requiring a training course on handling pets, renewed every two years, for owners and operators of kennels, animal rescue organizations that handle pets, and commercial establishments engaged in the business of handling pets; and all matters necessarily connected therewith and pertaining thereto. Establish ASAB meeting dates for 2027 (FOR POSSIBLE ACTION)
