Consider Approval to Endorse the Town's Application for a Union County Arts Council Grant
Information: The Union County Art Council, in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council, is accepting applications for its Grassroots Arts Program. Staff is requesting Board of Commissioners approval to submit a grant application for $11,200 to support artist demonstrations and art installations at the 2027 Kaleidoscope Festival. The requested grant funding would supplement the $20,000 Public Art allocation approved in the FY27 budget. If awarded, a budget amendment would be required to recognize the grant revenue and appropriate the funds to the Public Art budget.
