Staff Report (Adrien)
Adrien is currently planning the fall plantings.

USDA-IRA Urban and Community Canopy Grant- project continues. Will only be taking new applications for the planting through the end of the funding in 2027.

Staff is completing occasional storm clean-up and working on tree removal (of dead/hazardous/declining trees) and routine and requested pruning.

Callery pear removals/replacements are planned Wren Rd. this fall (26 trees). Adrien will be submitting a press release and notifying residents along Wren Rd. with door hangers.
New Business-
Adrien is planning to release an article on optimal tree pruning times and Oak Wilt prevention for September.

Adrien is also making door hangers/brochure for “Street Tree Care” to address street tree mulching/pruning issues with residents.

The NW Ohio Urban Forestry Conference is not called the Ohio Region 4 Urban Forestry Conference, and will be held Virtually this year.

Anne – Update on historic/notable tree map, database. Adrien can help with PR or door hangers for soliciting tree candidates.

Arboretum revitalization- Dan has been working with Urban Forestry staff to update tree inventory of the Arboretum and Adrien will be creating new signage and informational posters for Kiosk.
