Move to approve with the acknowledgement of the two passed. Second.
It's a $200 ask, or $260 ask for his vehicle. I move to approve.
I believe we were the only ones that were a recipient of this. It was kind of a pilot program, so I'll move to approve this presented.
Can we see it if we're going to recognize it? There could be a question there.
Josie, I got a call about this. Jeff, you want to come and talk about it a little bit? But this is a, we could not have done this ourselves for the $13,000. The road is a Carter County road. So we went ahead and moved to let them do the work on that road with the reimbursement.
So it's a savings to us. Absolutely. And it's necessary for our road. Yes, yes.
Hey, Judge, we skipped 7C. Would you maybe do that? That's the Lobo Trail.
I do not see her here, though. I can talk about this just briefly, but I think she needs to be here too, because she's the one that would like to, and she being Shekinah Inman is a resident. Oh, I'm sorry, Shekinah, did I see you?
I want you to tell them that you live, you reside, your house is at the end or at a kind of a horseshoe bend area of Lobo Trail, and that it's a lower spot. in that development and the water comes to that area and then kind of floods you out. That's what you told me.
Jeff, do you mind? Yeah. Judge, if you don't mind. Yeah, it's fine. He's gone out there and studied it as well.
Everything slopes to the, I guess it's kind of north. From this road, or from the development. It slopes that way, and there's a ravine back behind her house. And so there is gonna be water coming from the development, the upper part of the development and running north towards the ravine, which is a natural waterway. It is a natural waterway.
How about if we consider making some adjustments in the bar ditch and put a new covert in there? You and I talked about that. You'll be responsible for that cost. Yes. But we'll put it in there. I like the culvert. You have to buy the culvert. Is it $250 or $500 for one culvert? That's $500. $500. And so if we can dig that down, put that in, and then you'll still be able to pass over it. I'm not sure that's going to, because it runs, that culvert will run east and west. And really, I don't know that it's going to.
Okay. I mean, I did go out there and see it. It does wash down there probably when we get rain, which is not very often. You and I talked about that. But when it comes, it does come. So I would advocate for... tuning up of the bar ditch, some work at the bar ditch. And then also that new culvert. And he'll tell you where to get that. They'll pick it up and you have to go pay for it.
Well, we don't have a grant writer and we don't To explore that would probably take quite a bit.
I bet you could bring it to us. Let us look at it. What was that? I bet you could bring it to us and let us look at it.
If you've got some kind of avenue to apply, and we would probably end up, if that was the case, that we would be responsible for managing that. With that, we would have to understand it. And so if you want to look into it as a private citizen and bring it back before the court, we can probably look at it again later on.
So, um, so I'll make a motion that we, uh, send road and bridge out there to, to make some modifications to the, um, the bar ditch, and then also with the payment of the homeowner for the culvert that we installed a new culvert.
Can I ask one thing? Do you see, Jeff, do you see any issue with installation as covert? Will we cause any more harm to someone else's property?
If you face the house from the street looking north, northeast, it's the one on the right. There's a small one on the left. And there's also some water breaks on the left she mentioned.
so if you're changing directions there's a possibility you could affect someone else's property there's always a possibility but the way her property sits it's such a drop off yeah i don't see that okay okay so really we're going if we do this we'd be improving the ditch a little bit right and putting in a culvert that is is already in line with the with the direction of the ditch we're not going to change it, move it, redirect it. It's just going to be a culvert placed where the ditch is, where there isn't one, to see if we can minimize some of this water intrusion on our property.
Well, I'm not convinced this is really going to do a whole lot of good anyway, because I think the water still coming off there is going to come off there pretty hot and heavy when it does rain. But there isn't one there now.
I did see that myself, so I want to test that, too.
The same thing y'all did last time with Judge Hamer. It's DPS, it's new software. that we enter into on a weekly basis, that we enter dispositions on all the citations in criminal offense in our office. And it's just, you're signing it. I think we've done Tater and Horns and now Jackson. Yeah, I think Thomas is coming. Move to approve as presented. Thank you.
Okay. When do you think you're going to start?
Can you just give us a time frame? Hey, we're going to start in a week.
Move to approve the... removal of vegetation for the stinky fire by Lance Construction. That's presented.
This is not a new agreement. This is an agreement we're already working with this county.
Do you think they will approve it? I mean, I think we ought to approve it. I just wouldn't be bad to have a little bit of comment and understanding that what we're approving by that office. I'm happy to make a phone call and speak to Lawrence. Don't let me.
That's true. I did talk to Jason Howe. I did not talk to Judge Board, and he said it is Judge Board's. It is a new agreement. So I wonder if we're going to have a handful of these as well.
So will there be any financial outlier right now for this by Potter County?
It's a million dollars, but we don't have it. Right, right. And so...
