Another question, just a comment. These are wonderful resources and just as a point of, you know, kind of expression, really great for, like, elderly and those in memory care and children. So I know it's, like, discussed as children, but as individuals age, my experience has been this type of service and resource is really helpful for a much wider range of our neighbors. So I wanted to mention that. Thank you, Madam Chair.

1:40 – 2:02•Debbie Goettel

I just want to make another comment, too, around this about, you know, we're really jumping into this with our libraries through the Ready to Read program and try to help kids. And this is such a great tool for these kiddos to have, too, because once we get them hooked into loving books and everything like this, I mean, sometimes it takes the right book. But if a kid can figure it out and all of a sudden the light bulb goes on, then they're a reader for a lifetime.

2:06 – 2:47•Jeffrey Lunde

I just want to echo whatever else is said, but also sometimes I've got a couple of nonprofits that pay older brothers and sisters or parents to read to their kids because the parents are unable to read. And so it's like a practice. It's a two-for-one. You have the kid receiving spoken word and just getting a chance to hear it, and you also have the parent. or parental figure who's also learning. And so sometimes these books are very, very helpful for people who may not feel competent enough to read and therefore feel embarrassed to help their kids read. And so I just think it's a great idea.
