Thank you. We have two special reports today, two resolutions on the agenda, and first is Resolution 26-046.
Thank you. I'm proud to bring this forward every year. This is an important mission, an important value for our county to support this organization and other organizations working on domestic violence. So are there any council comments? And then is there a motion?
I move approval of Resolution 26-046. Second.
It's been properly moved and seconded to approve Resolution 26-046. I'll also see if there's anyone to speak to the resolution. Do we have people from DBS here? No, or online? No hands. Okay. If there's no speakers, then we'll call the question. So all in favor of Resolution 26-046? Aye. Aye. Chair votes aye. Any opposed? Hearing none, that passes 5-0. Next is Resolution 26-047.
Are there comments from Council? Council Member Neering?
Yeah, thanks, Chair Dunn. Appreciate the opportunity to recognize Disability Employment Awareness Month each year here in Snohomish County, and I know we have a few guests who have joined us today, so appreciate you taking the time to come out.
Yeah, I echo the same comments. I appreciate Lance from Sherwood Community Services being here today. And he has spent a lot of time with me over the years, educating me on this particular subject. And through that, I've been able to also tour several businesses, both here in Snohomish County and Skagit County in this area. And so I think it's a great resolution to have today. Also, we have Gary O'Reilly with us, too. And so, Gary, good to see you, too. So thank you.
Any other comments? Okay, we'll do the same. We'll put the motion on the floor and then hear from other speakers. So is there a motion?
I move approval of resolution 26-047. Second.
Okay, it's been properly moved and seconded to approve resolution 26-047. Were there some guests who wanted to speak? Welcome.
Thank you. Other speakers to the resolution? Hi, welcome. Yes, we already did your resolution, but you're welcome to either speak at this or public comment. Okay. No worries.
Thank you. Any other speakers? Okay, we have a motion and a second to approve Resolution 26-047. Any additional discussion? Hearing none, all in favor, please say aye. Chair votes aye. Any opposed? Hearing none, that passes unanimously. We have a few action items and then we'll take a recess to take photos. So if you could stay for photos for both resolutions So next is public comment. Did anyone wish to provide public comment?
If there's no objection from council, we can switch the order. That's fine. Thank you. We'll call on Misty or the next hand.
Thank you for your comment next speaker. Can you hear me. Yes, we can hear you.
Thank you for your comment. Are there other hands raised? Okay, so we will close public comment and move on in the agenda. We have introduction and assignment of legislation to committees. You can see the items that have come in. We'll go ahead and go through Committee of the Whole and take action on that one item. So unless there's objection, but we have item A, which is assignment to Committee of the Whole with proposed action to set time and date. So we'll hear motion 26-394.
Questions from Council? Is there a motion?
I move to set time and date for motion 26-394 for Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the hours of 10.30 a.m. and 6 o'clock p.m. Second.
Motion has been properly made and seconded to set time and date for motion 26-394. Any discussion? Hearing none, all in favor, please say aye.
Chair votes aye. Any opposed? Hearing none, that passes 5-0. Item B is for reassignment to move to the 7th for consideration, and Item C is for assignment to Committee of the Whole to move to the 14th for consideration. We have the clerk's report on pending legislation. There's no report. Reports of council committees. Our committee meetings are suspended during budget deliberations. And we have reports of outside committees. Are there any updates? Okay, I had a few. We have the community transit, Everett Transit meeting last Thursday. There was discussion on the consolidation. We set time and
Okay, and there was no chairperson's report. We had nothing under full council action. And then other business, you can review motion 26-397. And then that concludes our agenda for the day. So we are in recess until our Committee of the Whole budget deliberations.
