Good evening. Welcome to the October 6th Naperville City Council meeting. Roll call.
Here. Please rise and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance. Before we begin the business of our agenda, I do have a special announcement. I want to advise the public of a change on one item. This afternoon, the city received a letter from counsel for Pulte Home Company withdrawing the Naperville Ridge petition, which is item 01 on the agenda. Under the municipal code, a petitioner may withdraw a petition at any time before city council approval, and that withdrawal is final. The case is closed. IF POLTY OR ANY OTHER DEVELOPER WANTS TO PURSUE A PROPOSAL FOR THIS PROPERTY IN THE FUTURE, IT WILL H

Mr. Randall, if you'd like to say a few words.
Next, Councilman Syed will present the proclamation recognizing the 175th anniversary of the Euclid Chapter number 13, Royal Archmasons in the City of Naperville.
On item G, public forum, I'd like to remind everyone of the citizen participation rules in the city's municipal code for speaking at city council meetings. Personal attacks on council members, staff, other speakers, or members of the audience are not allowed. If inappropriate language or comments are expressed during this meeting, you will be asked immediately to stop commenting. Also, for audience members, there is no cheering and no jeering. Action
Next is City Council Public Forum. As a reminder, per the code, council members have three minutes to speak during public forum and can speak up two times. Council Member Perum. Thank you, Mayor.
I just wanted to bring up the traffic issues that we're hearing about. We all received an email today regarding, you know, the rerouting of Book Road and 59. And I get a lot of calls about it. And I think it's well beyond just kind of an inconvenience. And I think a lot of residents don't realize that it's not the city. So usually when we get kind of an uproar going on, I think it's usually kind of a lack of communication. So I guess I wanted to ask staff to... you know, maybe just go on the record publicly. You know, these are the things we can control. These are the things we can't control.
Thank you. Councilman Wilson. Thank you, Mayor. add on to this. Councilman Gibson and I met with DuPage Water Commission this past Friday. Originally 75th to 83rd was supposed to be open this past Friday or Saturday. There were issues that the township, Naperville Township, raised with regard to gravel being needed on the sides of the road. That being said, given those issues, it was supposed to be open this week. 75th to 87th was slated to be open by the 17th at the latest, and then to 95th by the end of the year. Then with regard to this traffic on the south side of 95th that's supposed to s
No, thank you. I appreciate Councilman Wilson's work and collaboration on this. I appreciate everybody's patience. One of the things I didn't know as a resident of South Naperville was that I was hearing that the asphalt plants closed down during cold weather, and I imagine both of those lanes south of 95th closed, and that won't be the issue. We'll be opening back up two-way traffic while the asphalt plants are closed. That was great news to me and my neighbors. I think we were all under the assumption that it was going to be CLOSED ALL WINTER. SO I THINK GOOD NEWS, AND I APPRECIATE STAFF'S W
