0:56 – 1:53•Col. Paul Cook

Thank you very much. Thank you very much, Madam Chairman. It's my honor to introduce our pastor today, Pastor Tim Savea. I hope I pronounced that right. He's been the campus pastor at High Desert Church in Hesperia, where he has faithfully served for the past 14 years. With a passion for ministry and serving people, he's committed to helping individuals and families grow in their faith and connection to the church. He holds a bachelor's degree in biblical studies from Biola University and a master's degree in theology from Talbot School of Theology. So, pastor, will you do the honors?

18:44 – 19:09•Curt Hagman

Thank you, Madam Chair, and thank you for the report. I know it's been something on my interest. It's very high what we're doing. And I know the county's very good about responding. Can you talk a little bit more about some of the maintenance things maybe our departments can be doing from the predictability of maybe flood, snow, whatever the case may be. Are there things that we're doing today to prepare for the future?

19:29 – 19:43•Curt Hagman

Then just to follow up, if I may, and like my district, the majority are incorporated cities. I'm assuming that communication line has been established and we're working together with our local city partners in those preparedness efforts as well.

20:33•Curt Hagman

Thank you. I guess I'll steal my 125-year-old motto, be prepared for the Boy Scouts, and it sounds like you're doing that. Thank you.

30:52 – 32:03•Curt Hagman

Thank you, Madam Chair. I just want to point out a couple things on the agenda. Item number five is allocating $2 million to the Chino Preserve Library to assist with their new construction over there. So I'm excited for that asset in the community. SCAG update, Future Leaders Initiative is accepting applications through October 27th. You can visit SCAG's website for additional details, opportunities for young youth to get involved. Congratulations to Ontario International Airport for ranking second among medium-sized airports in the United States in the latest J.D. Power study for the second

3:34:59 – 3:36:16•Curt Hagman

Supervisor Hagman? Oh, just, I love some of the comments brought up by my colleagues here, but I think that's something for a future agenda. What is considered a data center? You know, the ones that we hear on news, they take more power than some of our cities combined to do a major data center. Obviously, we don't have that infrastructure network within our communities right now. But if it comes down to storing records manually, what is, I think that should be looked at our building code and our zoning for the incorporate areas is what may have been something five years ago, what may be 10 ye

3:37:56 – 3:40:09•Col. Paul Cook

Yeah. Going into today's meeting, I was all prepared to, oh, excuse me. I was prepared to vote this and that, and then like anyone here, I listened to some of the conversations and this and that. You know, I'm just a dumb marine. I'm not very smart like my colleagues here. So they obviously have absorbed this. And frankly, my brain housing group has got everything jumbled. And I'm not sure right now, I'll be very honest with you, how I'm going to vote. To be honest with you, I was probably going to vote a yes. And now I'm not so sure because of some of these other things here. I don't want to

3:40:30 – 3:40:45•Col. Paul Cook

Yeah, and I don't want to make a lot of work, but I... You know, I need the staff's help to prepare, you know, dumb it down a little bit so that all the key points are out there so I can go over it. And I apologize for it.

3:40:50 – 3:41:05•Col. Paul Cook

So, you know, if I'm not prepared right now to vote yes or no. What? Did I call you a socialist? No.

3:41:06•Curt Hagman

I'm asking Supervisor Bach to restate the limitations he wanted on the project.
