Citizen Comment Period with the Ethics Commission

The Ethics Commission welcomes comments from Citizens early in the agenda of Ethics Commission meetings. Those wishing to speak are encouraged to sign in before the meeting begins. Speakers may be provided with an opportunity to speak during this time period on any agenda item or any other matter concerning city business, and they must observe the three-minute time limit.

Consider nominations to select a vice chair for the Ethics Commission for the remainder of the year 2026.

Consider approval of a recommendation to City Council to amend the Code of Ethics to specifically require recusal on any item for which the person or business entity seeking to do business with the City, or an interested party thereof, has provided a campaign contribution of $500 or more to the elected official in the preceding 24 months.

Receive a report, hold a discussion, and provide staff direction regarding proposed revisions to the Ethics Code, Sections 2-142 through 2-174.
