9:27 – 9:42•Briton S. Williams

I'd like to call the Northchester City Council study session for Monday, September 14, 2026 to order. It's great to see everybody. You know, there's a little excitement in the building. We haven't been here three weeks. It's like coming off a week in college football, you know. We're ready to get back into it again.

9:46•Briton S. Williams

All right, at this time, I will turn this over to our Assistant City Administrator, Mr. JD McCauley, sir.

11:54•Briton S. Williams

These are the signs on the business, not the street signs out the street?

12:02•Briton S. Williams

And what spearheaded? Edgemont, what did you say? Edgewood. Edgewood. OK, Edgemont. Sorry.

12:23•Briton S. Williams

OK. And everybody was fine with that with Planning Commission, no issues on their end?

12:30•Briton S. Williams

Any questions from Mr. Paradise on this?

15:03•Briton S. Williams

Are there other easements on other people's property besides the city, or is it just all?

15:11•Briton S. Williams

And this is on both sides of the bridge?

15:40 – 15:51•Briton S. Williams

That piece running parallel to the bridge. And is the 015A the piece that we're selling, or what are we selling to?

16:01•Briton S. Williams

I got you. Thank you. Any questions for this gentleman?

20:44•Briton S. Williams

If you have any questions, Mr. Is this one that we go out to like every five years? Have we done this before?

20:57 – 21:09•Briton S. Williams

Right, exactly. And we normally do it for like a period of time, right? For a year, okay. Yep, I thought we'd done that before. Thank you. Okay. Any questions?

21:38 – 22:03•Briton S. Williams

We're just going to be replacing Brian to take Tom Ziezer's place on the stadium accommodations since he's retired. And if you all should know, Marian Bigger is retired from the Arts and Heritage Center. And our committee has a representative for that department. So it's going to be Adina Berry, who is the new director.

26:41•Briton S. Williams

Seventy-seven addresses assigned, what is that?

40:33 – 40:50•Briton S. Williams

No, no, no. Good question. There are a lot of things being done on the Greenway that are not within the policy of the Greenway. So we are going to, the administration is working on putting that all in place for us to address in a study session. So, no.

40:56•Briton S. Williams

Yeah, but he said they're actually electric.

44:47 – 45:00•Briton S. Williams

I'm assuming y'all are in a process of trying to put together what next initiatives to do with that money as far as what that looks like. Y'all still working through what that looks like as far as education or whatever?

45:07 – 46:43•Briton S. Williams

Just for our citizens who are watching, Janice and Sandy and Tanya all were on a podcast we did back about two years ago. And it was real evident after that podcast, we all kind of realized that you had a lot of people real passionate about the brick ponds, but really everybody was kind of doing their own thing. So the genesis idea was, hey, let's put together a group that can strictly focus on the brick ponds and work with the city on that. And Jeff, we thank you for your leadership. Brian and Cheryl Wenzick have been very, the beautification have been a big part of that. And we felt it made

47:22•Briton S. Williams

It's a fun time. It's a good time. Thank you, Jeff.

47:27•Briton S. Williams

All yours, Mr. Clifford or J.D., whoever.

53:51 – 54:05•Briton S. Williams

So, no mandatory requirement to connect. They can choose if they want to. That's correct. And I'm assuming if they do decide to connect, that would be, they'd be part of the city? It'd be, could they be annexing it?

57:27•Briton S. Williams

Any other questions for James? Good job, sir. Thank you. Thank you.

1:09:54•Briton S. Williams

This is what we ask. Thank you. And then we expect you, you know, we'll wait till you get back once you find the bids and give us some kind of strategy for us to discuss further. Thank you. Good job, Brian.

1:10:16 – 1:13:15•Briton S. Williams

Okay. We got just four things I want to highlight. The Chamber of Commerce at the chamber breakfast this past Thursday did a first response, responders' breakfast, and I want to just personally, I want to call out, they awarded, they called a hero award to our public safety and fire and dispatch, and these awards were voted on by the actual peers of these individuals who work for the public safety. The A-Shift recipient was PSO Emily Ayers. B-Shift was Corporal Tyrone Tripp. C-Shift was PSO Ryan Dabbs. D-Shift was PSO Luke Josie. Traffic was Sergeant Justin Aubuchon. Investigator Walter Van Ca

1:13:19 – 1:14:38•Briton S. Williams

They're doing the greenway. They're going to kimono. They're redoing all of the kimono where the food and the clothes are. So just a shout out to Victory. If you want to participate, just show up at 8 o'clock at Victory Parking Lot. They give you coffee, biscuits, and they'll put you to work. But I think that's just a commend. And just to let people know, we will not be doing a trash bash. competition with Augusta this year because of this serve day. It's so close to the Georgia Carolina game. And they're gonna have so many people. They're expecting really 400 minimum to participate. So I thin
