change order for the basement. Do I have a second?

5:01•Diane Fitch

So we're going to amend the agenda to include fiscal year 23-24 and work group discussions. Okay.

6:04•Diane Fitch

I think we got the email last night. You got pictures? Yeah, I went down and looked at it.

7:31 – 7:44•Diane Fitch

And the only reason you bring it to us is because of the number? Because of the dollar amount. Okay. It was an increase. And if you go down on the corner by the door, where the range was, then it's just absolutely rusted through. Yeah. It's just, it's probably original.

13:20•Diane Fitch

I have a question. If the bridge is done but it's not seated, is it considered open? No.

16:48•Diane Fitch

Can you use any of that on funding that I sent you?

21:06•Diane Fitch

Why does that take so long? Is there just one company that does it?

34:49•Diane Fitch

Please stop liquidating Madison County's assets piecemeal.

35:09•Diane Fitch

I respectfully ask that you receive and file on purpose.

50:42 – 51:31•Diane Fitch

One day, Simon Conley was on the WHO radio show. Yeah, he was discussing getting married in the bridge. And I called him and said... Which one? I was married on the bridge. Yeah, I know. Oh, I think you picked the perfect person then. So I called in and said that was my first kiss, and I've been married to the same guy for 51 years. And so he said he would be more than willing to help us raise money for the bridges. I sent him all of your QR codes and all of your information. Sure, sure. He called me this morning and said, would we come on the radio tonight? I can't, and it was pretty short no

1:01:32•Diane Fitch

Okay, so you're not incurring any interest. It's just you let them have 12 months to start paying. Okay.

1:02:33 – 1:02:47•Diane Fitch

Okay. Hannah, if I'm a small business and you give me a $50,000 loan and the insurance company is already going to pay off some, are they going to subrogate what I got from you and then not pay me?

1:03:41 – 1:04:09•Diane Fitch

Okay. I have another question. I think we talked about this when we met. There's a house in St. Charles that was flooded. But rather than to, I don't know that there will be much cost in cleaning it up. can we do like pervious paving and rain gardens and tile around that house to mitigate ever future flooding? Can we use it for that?

1:06:08 – 1:06:25•Diane Fitch

Well, the day Tana was here, we can put it on the website, but the day Tana met with Mitch and I, Mitch and I sent all of these packets to every city, And I think Ryan, we sent it to Ryan also. So they've had it since we met last week. So we have it.

1:19:21 – 1:20:22•Diane Fitch

I'm trying to set up time for the Optimist Club to have the architects come to discuss. The Optimist Club would like to talk about phase two of the course. They have a hard time getting us all up there together. I did meet with Tana and Sean and Mitch and I, the disaster recovery. And we did send all this information to all the cities. So they have that last week. And I think St. Charles has already made use of some of it, or they're working on it. I'm working with WHO, and you guys are going to have to help me, about raising money for bridge repair, covered bridge repair. WHO Radio, they're w

1:25:30•Diane Fitch

Medicaid is, payment is lower in a rural area than in a large city, is that correct? I'm not sure it used to be all of those. But I know that the county back those laws.

1:26:28•Diane Fitch

What's the excuse for never raising it, Mike? Nobody likes to pay tax.

1:28:11 – 1:28:26•Diane Fitch

What about, did they address, can't you put an ag building or ag related in our right of way, which just happened right out by me? Is that correct?

1:34:37 – 1:35:03•Diane Fitch

We paid them a payment of $37,000 and we had a little over $38,000. Now it's trickling in again and we don't know, I have to ask the treasurer if she didn't, we don't know. No, it trickles in. And so we never know how much. We kind of wait until we get a lump sum. I'm not for reopening it, but why would you reopen it when you're successful in your schools?

1:35:37•Diane Fitch

I asked them and they told me to jump in a lake. Oh. Didn't work.

1:40:17 – 1:40:45•Diane Fitch

An old supervisor came in and said that always the plan was when they built the jail, this was way before us, when they built the jail, that they would knock down that building and add on, and I've been told that in the next 10 years we're going to be forced to build onto our jail. Now I don't know that Winterset will get anything done, but that's a concern if that happens, and one will sell that building, because I think that could happen.

1:40:55•Diane Fitch

That would look costly. You'd have to buy one. Well, it would be, we just instead of going south, we went north.

1:46:30•Diane Fitch

Yes, it is. Everybody will have a chance to talk.

1:51:12•Diane Fitch

All right, wait, no. The 15th is, that's a watershed field day. What time would you do it on the 15th?

1:53:30•Diane Fitch

So September 8th, three to five, we're doing a special session, and that will be open RFPs, and we'll have a regular meeting at six.

1:55:15 – 1:56:15•Diane Fitch

significantly um and it allows time to discuss because it could be it's like you know the board's not amenable to it not put it forward so um but danielle if you want to change that to where well per robert rule of order i leave will partner and i can't put something on it we've discussed it over and over and over again and we do not know where fund balances are we don't even balance we have got to quit spending money on off-site council because we don't know where we are And we're spending money. All we need to do, you can laugh at me, but this isn't our money. And it's an irresponsible thing

1:56:22•Diane Fitch

We also have a resolution to act as a unit. We have a policy procedure that you and Phil put forward.

1:57:10 – 1:57:21•Diane Fitch

I said I don't think, I just said it. Stop spending money. Okay, I wanted to make sure you didn't have it. What do you want me to say? I've been asking you to have anything more before I spoke.

1:57:30•Diane Fitch

Don't chastise me. I said move on, it's off the table, go. No, I want to make sure it's not off the table.

2:00:34 – 2:00:47•Diane Fitch

What is the acting and pending litigation? He has never shared that with me. I have no clue what this is about. It is because you started this. You sued us. You sued. You sued.

2:01:12•Diane Fitch

What are you going to come out of this? What are you going to solve? You've alienated all of your staff. Nobody wants to talk. Nobody likes this county. They talk about us in a negative way.

2:01:35•Diane Fitch

Stop suing each other. I'll have to follow his order. I can't do anything about it.

2:05:00•Diane Fitch

I made the motion to adjourn this meeting. It's done. Yeah, I know. But second, we have other things to discuss. You just passed things over and over and over again.

2:08:16 – 2:08:50•Diane Fitch

electricity than the whole state combined and their use of water is incredible it depends on how the data center is designed though well well i think it's an overall you might look into that some data centers actually use oil which is weird but we don't necessarily want to do that either and the runoff there's proving that you might look into that and then there's another study um In Indiana, because they're the mouth of the Great Lakes, I think they're just really fighting them because of the use of water. Just some of those are interesting studies.
