2:14 – 3:41•Mariano Corral

actually we should start by saying i want to close this meeting see if the next week everybody's approved so it's been a while so bear with me let's start with the uh the motion well not the motion the introduction of staff uh marcus i believe we can start with the pledge of allegiance Thank you, Danny. Appreciate that. So if we can start with a presentation, please all stand. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. So by the way, happy 4th to everybody. It was a great 4th of Jul

3:53 – 4:12•Mariano Corral

The only thing that I'm going to ask for the moment, Marcus, is for you to read the items. I do not have the items before me. I'm having issues with my computer at the moment. But you all can hear me, correct? Yes, that's fine.

14:49•Mariano Corral

So having said that, let me start with Christian. Oh, first of all, does the applicant need to make any kind of presentation, please?

22:17•Mariano Corral

Okay. Any board member want to begin? Or should I just start with either Christian or Danny or Rick?

25:14 – 27:26•Mariano Corral

Okay. I do have a couple of comments, and it goes from this wayside. Bernardo, I've known you since, well, I've never met you personally, but I will tell you this, what architectonica means to me. Going back to 1977, back when you changed the skyline of Brickell Avenue, and what I saw was, I call it, thinking out of the box and forcing architects to start saying, hey, enough is enough of just creating boxes. Let's make architecture an art form. Let's make it fun and let it blend it into the natural environment, obviously. But let's make this into a really interesting kind of urban environment

27:30•Mariano Corral

I am done with my comments. I don't have anything else to say. I respect my architects on the board and they said what they said.

33:01•Mariano Corral

OK. So do we have any board members with any additional comments on this?

33:42•Mariano Corral

OK, sir. Do we have anyone from the public, the general public, that would like to make any comments based on the presentation, what they saw?

33:53 – 34:19•Mariano Corral

OK. The only comment I'm going to make is to make sure that the landscape and the utilities do not create a problem or an issue that that's coordinated properly from that perspective. Otherwise, I would like to ask the board members to make a motion for approval for both presentations. Correct, Mr. Riebig?

34:36 – 34:47•Mariano Corral

OK. Rick, want to second it? I will second that, yes. OK. Can we have a vote now, please? Christian?

34:50 – 35:04•Mariano Corral

Rick? Yes. Danny? I don't think Danny can hear me or cannot speak. Is that going to be an issue? Okay. And I vote yes also. Thank you, gentlemen.

35:10•Mariano Corral

Okay. Wonderful. Good. Wonderful. Mario, good to see you again also, sir.

47:40 – 47:55•Mariano Corral

So do, first of all, does the, I'm sorry, I cannot, I'm having issues also with my computer. So the question is now, can the applicant make a presentation, please?

48:05•Mariano Corral

Okay. So in that case, do the public have any comments?

48:19 – 48:32•Mariano Corral

All right. So getting to the board members, let's begin with the board members. Christian, you want to begin? I have no comments on this one. Okay. Mr. Urban.

49:05 – 51:55•Mariano Corral

Okay. I do have some confidence in how to deal with the landscape, obviously. But I think also, and it's food for thought, if there's a design for a master plan in terms of the coloring of the sidewalk and all, I'm beginning to question also when an architect is designing a building and he's carrying his material from the inside out, that's something that they're going to have to take into consideration when it comes into design. And there are times when I often question whether that's a smart thing to do from that perspective, but it is what it is. So first of all, on the tree disposition, th

52:00 – 52:19•Mariano Corral

Any other comments? I think everybody said it, so... Okay, so in that moment, then... Board members, can we get a motion for approval or denial or deferment?

53:00 – 53:15•Mariano Corral

OKAY. I DO HAVE ONE MORE COMMENT AND I'M NOT SURE WHETHER TO DO IT NOW, BUT IT'S TOO LATE. CHRISTIAN, HOW YOU VOTE? YES. RICK? YES. DANNY?

53:18•Mariano Corral

AND I VOTE YES AS WELL. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. NEXT ITEM.

1:00:28•Mariano Corral

Do we have, do we have the applicant ready to make a presentation?

1:01:34•Mariano Corral

So Jane is the only member of the team that's present here, correct?

1:02:09•Mariano Corral

Okay. So do we have any board members? Comments, please.

1:03:12 – 1:03:43•Mariano Corral

And obviously, I do have a comment. And that is on the transplanting of the trees, which is shows there. I need to know or we need to know what is the procedure for such large trees to be transplanted? because the location that they're going into, I have a feeling that there may not be sufficient space and there's a lot of utilities going on there. But in the meantime, in terms of the T-Plat, It is what it is, not a problem.

1:04:02•Mariano Corral

But once they bring something in, I mean... It has to be reminded just in case. I don't remember this. I really don't. All right.

1:04:33 – 1:04:54•Mariano Corral

Okay. Fair enough. All right, so do we have any other, do we have public comments, by the way? Nobody in chamber but staff. Okay. In that case, let's move forward. Can I get a motion for approval or deferment?

1:05:00 – 1:05:15•Mariano Corral

Mr. Urban? Thank you. Okay, Mr. Urban. Your vote. Approve. Yes. Christian. Danny. Yes.

1:05:25•Mariano Corral

And I also vote for approval. Now. Thank you, sir. Thank you.

1:10:57•Mariano Corral

THANK YOU, SIR. SO MOVING ON, DO WE HAVE, DOES THE APPLICANT WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PRESENTATION? DOES THE ARCHITECT WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A PRESENTATION?

1:11:54•Mariano Corral

Do we have anyone in the chambers or anyone in the public that would like to speak?

1:12:02•Mariano Corral

Okay. Moving on. Board members, comments? Mr. Irvin, would you like to begin?

1:13:35 – 1:13:50•Mariano Corral

And I have no comments either. So, having said that, can we have a motion for approval, please? Or deferment?

1:14:59 – 1:15:10•Mariano Corral

OKAY. SO MR. URBAN, DO WE GET ALSO YOUR MOTION FOR APPROVAL? SECOND, YES. OKAY. THANK YOU.

1:15:27 – 1:15:46•Mariano Corral

Mr. Guerra, let me start with you. Yes. You said yes. I could hear him very low. Mr. Urban. Yes. Rodriguez. Yes. And I say yes. Thank you so much. Next one.

1:21:40•Mariano Corral

Okay. Does the African architect want to make any kind of comments or presentation?

1:25:39 – 1:26:08•Mariano Corral

Okay. So if that's the end of your presentation does the landscape architect want to make any presentation at all or no i guess mr hoyt is does can i hear me whatever all right so let's move on anyone on chambers that would like to make a comment on on the and on the application

1:26:19•Mariano Corral

Mr. Ahoy, would you like to make a presentation, or you're good?

1:26:32•Mariano Corral

Okay. All right. Board members, comments? Who would like to begin?

1:27:36 – 1:27:53•Mariano Corral

Okay. My first question is, do we have a drain field and septic tank on this site or is storm sewer and water? I'm gonna say it's by storm sewer. This is a question for the architect.

1:28:00 – 1:28:12•Mariano Corral

It's a house. It's going to have drain fuel and septic tank, or you have natural storm sewer already in the area?

1:28:24 – 1:30:12•Mariano Corral

Okay. So let me just say this to you. depending on where that's going to be located it's going to affect not only the landscape but it's going to affect also your grading plan from your civil engineer and so um you're going to have to have to make some adjustments and uh mr hoyt will have to make some adjustments to the landscape in location of the trees and also if there's a large tree whether it's going to be in the front of the back or whatever um that's going to have an impact so uh that will i will leave to i guess uh staff to look at uh from that perspective but that's going to be a majo

1:30:16 – 1:30:35•Mariano Corral

Thank you. Then in that case, I would like to have one of the board members make a motion for approval or deferment. Motion for approval with staff and board comments. Okay. Rick, I need your second.

1:30:39•Mariano Corral

Okay. All right. So can we have a vote? Let me start again with Mr. Guerra.

1:31:00•Mariano Corral

And I will vote yes as well. Thank you so much for coming to the board, and good luck with your application.

1:31:14•Mariano Corral

Now for the next thing is the approval of the minutes from the last meeting. I do not have any in front of me, so somebody's going to have to help me on that.

1:31:37•Mariano Corral

Okay, so we can move on for, when's our next meeting?

1:32:01•Mariano Corral

Okay. Any comments on the June 2nd board meeting, gentlemen?

1:32:13 – 1:32:24•Mariano Corral

All those in favor for approval, say aye. Aye. Aye. All right, so moving on. Can I have a motion and a second for those minutes, please?

1:32:30•Mariano Corral

Motion to approve the minutes. So motion to approve the minutes.

1:32:42•Mariano Corral

Okay. Do we need to vote again for you, Marcus?

1:32:48•Mariano Corral

Thank you very much. Thank you, sir. So moving on, when is our next meeting, Mr. Lightfoot?

1:33:01•Mariano Corral

Thank you very much. You're very welcome. Any comments? Any comments from board members? Anything that you want to add before we close this meeting?

1:33:40•Mariano Corral

Excellent. So in that case, gentlemen, thanks for showing up.

1:33:51•Mariano Corral

No, that wasn't bad. An hour and a half.

1:34:45 – 1:35:43•Mariano Corral

And I also have a quick comment. Marcus, please talk to Mrs. Cabrera and the commissioners. I think you guys are doing yourself a disservice and you're losing money on the trees that are being removed, paying $1,000 per tree. When I saw that the canopy for one particular, which was miscalculated, was 9,000 square feet. And when you divide that by 500, it comes out to about seven or eight trees or nine or 10 trees, whatever, okay? and uh i think you're you're basically you're losing money i think you're being that needs to be relooked again uh and double check so that's my comment on that and u

1:36:25 – 1:36:47•Mariano Corral

Okay. By the way, we also have to be fair. Let's not go crazy. We also have to be fair. Some of these homes, And some of the people that are buying into this home, they're not necessarily wealthy people. And trees can really make a big difference in terms of penalties and payments. So let's see if we can be fair on that too, okay?

1:36:56•Mariano Corral

Gentlemen, thank you for coming today. I hope all of you had a great Fourth of July. And we'll see you on the 21st, correct?

1:37:11 – 1:37:23•Mariano Corral

It's been a long time, pal. I forgot a lot of the things. Thank you. Have a great week. Thank you, everybody. Bye-bye.
