City Council - Regular Meeting

Good morning. My name is Matthew Klebes and this is What's Happening at City Hall, a recap of the June 8th, 2026 City Council meeting. At that meeting, the City Council proclaimed July 4th, 2026 as a celebration of America's 250th anniversary. and reflected upon the city's status as a Medal of Honor city and encouraging all residents to commemorate this milestone with celebration and civic participation. The council also approved a lease with Columbia Gorge Community College for an aviation maintenance training hangar at the Columbia Gorge Regional Airport. They adopted the budget and approved the creation of a new service continuity fund. And they finally conducted an executive session for the city manager and city attorney performance evaluation Upon coming out of executive session, they authorized a wage change of 8.2%, which includes merit and cost of living adjustments.
