We meeting today in a scheduled meeting for a scheduled purpose. And as always, no matter what we're doing, we wanna be in line with you, not ahead of you. So I'm asking that's the meeting that do in a in an atmosphere of cooperation and respect from each other. Each and every member of the county. And, of course, it's all.
And neighborhoods until we go forward. Have and each we've got three distinct work areas. You'll see I think if you will remind me where can see what we have done. Some of you've seen this. It's basically what we have done.
Mean, isolated in three districts, Michigan, This is Black American history of where you're at. This is a district, and this is Charles, which is green. That's their district. Beth and I in the blue and the brushed the guy in tank and this is exactly where the district should draw. I would like to show you that for a reason and go to And that is my district.
This is my district. This is. She does have some across the. So with that said, within the next few years, this my share could be my share of the news about awards. You're talking about what work in the time?
60% in the non evoke rate period. 60% of the order. So that's. So what I'd like to do today, and he's here I hate to speak of, just come up from quality and understanding. Beth and I have spoke a lot.
I hope we all spoke a lot.
Both of Charlie and Larry spoke. There's work. You need to take a break.
Okay. At
lunch, we are at the front. We're gonna we're gonna take a quick tour facility while we're here to show you what I mean, what this place does. It's a different center. And they they had clients that were to count in a in area that's lost. It's not teenagers. Some are most of them are young adults that had neurological problems, situations. This was the old Veterans Village. In the Boone Place, Florida. They got this place. They remodeled the completely.
They put a pool in, and they're they're merging, leaving the Columbia campus. All the people that's, all I've doing. So we're very, fortunate to be able to have this loan, and we appreciate the opportunities. So they would give us the opportunity to. Any questions that we need to go through the whole week dispersed.
Mister chair, can I go with the ground rules? Sir.
You might.
At each one of your tables, you will have a stack of information. This is 2511. 2512. And just for the county inspector, mister Robin Derrick's people, can't see him on camera, but he's over the one. 2512. It goes over to both design center presented to council. It has some master guard in Eastern Residential District, Central Residential District as a reference for your discussion. Also, if you'll notice on the board or the wall up here are some ideas and talking points for each group. So this is kind of facilitating what we're looking at today. This is gonna focus maintenance and residential development.
You have a handout each one of your tables with this packet with those talking points on them. At each table, there will be a staff member to take meeting minutes. So each one of these discussions will have minutes. There will be a staff member to facilitate the discussion as far as any questions you may have. Please understand that the staff member you may have at your table may not be the subject matter expert. So for instance, if you have a wall in the back of your group and it's a question outside of zoning, let us know and we'll get you a staffing number to answer that question. Maybe it's open space or land development related. So we'll have that to those staff members. The comprehensive plan, you've all received that. The comprehensive plan is a guide.
It does not have to look exactly like the comp plan. It guides you in what your area is probably should look like or need to look like. So use that as a reference. We
will
be taking notes on what direction that you wanna see breach groups. We've got Ad and Interstaff as we write and refinements down. And after lunch, we'll put those together and then we'll have the detailed discussion on that. I think as as chairman Hudson and I both discussed previously, you're gonna see groups who are gonna have a variety of different things, for their areas, but you're see a lot of similarities that could potentially be some change we may county like. But just just kind of
an idea for some inflation to pick it off the off. Any other questions? No. So what would you like to also put that? May I speak to the front of y'all manual? Excuse me. You'll be shocked when you look at the the new overlay districts proposed, how those new overlay districts actually tie in with the. If you compare it to the look, you'll see how the extra tie is completely to what the the overlay districts. I mean, comprehensive plan says that we should do. It ties directly into the best way.
Feel free to draw all the maps. We have maple copies for a reason. You have two maps. The first map is is the FODMAP that Jeremy Hudson provided. The second is the FODMAP that actually has comprehensive plan and future growth land use characteristics like the D and C, can see and compare on that. Draw on it, make notes on it. If you want to see boundary changes in your group, please please make those comments and those adjustments there also.
I saw the last thing I am going to study is when you just I think you said you have to leave. Yeah. What? Okay. I'll be back.
Okay. You think you'll be back by when? Yeah. By then? Alright.
So now that we're wrapping up the breakout sessions, come back here. You can see we got all of those around Alright. Yes. Is there any open discussion you want me to have on now while reviewing about the discussion that y'all had in separate breakout rooms?
can't commit it to the next council meeting, the twenty fourth. We will just assume the follow. If we could have it in, we will. But we will he he will be focused on us now. We'll focused on we may call just to verify that what we put on paper was what you intended to be on paper, And and they have a meeting with that for for two. So you can expect that, and
we will keep you updated as.
The all along this plan can't be great and land development. So the three seconding of minutes going through model at the same time.
May I make a suggestion to anyone, maybe council one three.
So I think what I think what the councilman Wilson has mentioned in our discussion. I think the connectivity piece was was obviously more connectivity between parking areas. I think the transportation improvement plan may give us a little bit more direction on larger, more areas ridden to connect the you know, think the Gulf War state side of the road to railroad. I think that's what so she's getting at that.
And maybe to that, separated out separate roads faster. I think we can we can look at connectivity as it
is with as direction we will take and with traffic traffic take and through the plan and pass. So we can continue to revise and then we can move in with directions.
Everybody doing that? Good.
