We'll now call to order the April 27th, 2026 city of Abling, Kansas special meeting. Uh Jay, may we please have a roll call? Mayor Rin, here. Commissioner Taylor here. Commissioner Kolhoff, present. Commissioner Lidle, yes. Commissioner Meisenberg, here. Roll call's complete. Thank you. If we stand for the pledge to the flag of the United States of America to it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for have a little.

1:56 – 2:37Speaker 1

Our next item is approval of today's agenda and I would make a motion to approve the agenda with the removal of item 5A. I'll second. Motion has been moved and seconded. Do we have any discussion? Um, help me out here. We want to have a an executive session to replace that. Okay. Maybe I misunderstood. Oh yeah, I don't believe so. Okay. Any further discussion? Seeing none, with a roll call vote. Vice Mayor Taylor, yes. Commissioner Koloff, hi. Commissioner Lidle, yes. Commissioner Meisenberg, yes.

2:34 – 2:55Speaker 1

Myself, yes. Motion carries. Our next item is 5B, public reception and meet and greet with Mr. Bad following approval. Um, so I guess we'll just roll right into the meet and greet now. So, anything else that we need in the meantime, Erin? A little bit of a clunky setup. So,

2:53 – 3:43Speaker 1

no, we uh noticed this up as an official public meeting under the Kansas Open Meetings Act because we do have all five commissioners present and that's the uh safe approach. I would just uh advise anytime we have an open meeting and uh a majority of the commission are discussing city business under the open meetings act that is supposed to be audible to everyone in the room. So if you find yourself as a commissioner talking with two other commissioners about city business uh encourage someone to walk away but otherwise um I'll try not to go around and be the fun police on that subject. Trust you can all govern yourselves. That would be my only uh word of warning. But otherwise, no. This is technically an open meeting, but it's supposed to be a casual meet and greet with Mr. Blad. And uh the regular meeting will uh start at 4:00.

3:42 – 4:18Speaker 1

Okay. As long as you have your yard stick to beat us off, we get too close to each other. All right. We will just start the meet and greet then. Thank you. that I work at the borrow. Yeah.

The whole We did not understand ours. It's kind of

1:20:18 – 1:21:35Speaker 1

How are you doing? Hiator sleep. Yeah, they go off. When we were driving, we got a few years ago. We got across the stairs. There's

1:26:38 – 1:27:15Speaker 1

Well, it used to be like 99 kg used to come on. We don't do that anymore. Yeah. Why not right now either because apparently there's so there's been a proliferation of just amateur storm waters and like it's becoming so that it's hopeful but you know tell me this I think the date emergency manual like there's on average hundreds of people chasing big stores and frequencies or whatever on their radio

1:27:14 – 1:27:59Speaker 1

and they get right up in there but if they're willing to call the emergency dispatch and report you know that's way better than just going on radar but it's pretty pretty accurate information with anything that like this morning I saw sheriff go north and I had to pull over for the sheriff going north and then I had to pull over for the ambulance going north and I was like normally you'd be able to get on your area or whatever and find out what is happening but you can't do that didn't notice this weekend but a lot of times you'll see the kind of like tanks but they're meant to like drive it's like that's how you know a real You see this gas station?

1:27:57 – 1:28:39Speaker 1
