City Commission - Special Meeting

We'll now call to order the April 27th, 2026 city of Abling, Kansas special meeting. Uh Jay, may we please have a roll call? Mayor Rin, here. Commissioner Taylor here. Commissioner Kolhoff, present. Our next item is approval of today's agenda and I would make a motion to approve the agenda with the removal of item 5A. I'll second. Motion has been moved and seconded. Do we have any discussion? no, we uh noticed this up as an official public meeting under the Kansas Open Meetings Act because we do have all five commissioners present and that's the uh safe approach. I would just uh advise anytime we have an open meeting and uh a majority of the commission are discussing city business under the open meetings act that is supposed to be audible to everyone in the room. So if you find yourself as a commissioner talking with two other commissioners about city business uh encourage someone to walk away but otherwise um I'll try not to go around and be the fun police on that subject. Trust you can all govern yourselves. That would be my only uh word of warning. But otherwise, no. This is technically an open meeting, but it's supposed to be a casual meet and greet with Mr. Blad. And uh the regular meeting will uh start at 4:00.
