All right. Uh, good evening everybody. I'm going to call this meeting to order. It is 6:04 p.m. um uh of this special meeting November 12th u and we do uh have a quorum with all members of council being present. Uh we're going to start uh this meeting with a pledge of allegiance. So would you please stand and we could recite our pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. All right. Next, we have item two, certification of public notice.
Yes, sir. Mayor, the meeting was posted in accordance Texas Open Meetings Act on November 5th, 2025 at 5:25 p.m. Sir, thank you. Item three, public comments. There are no public comments at this time. That being the case, we're going to move on to the main order of business today. Uh item four is election and uh we have item A to canvas uh uh results. Canvas, the returns and declare the results of the city of Edinburgh municipal general election held November 4, 2025.
All right. At this time, I will read the votes for each position in the city of Edinburgh municipal general election held on November 4th, 2025. The position of mayor Omar Ooa, 7,444 votes, 62%. Richard Molina, 3,495, 29.11%. Johnny Garcia, 939 votes, 7.82%. Jonathan Salenas 129 votes 1.07%. Total votes cast 12,07 votes under votes 85. Council member place one Daniel Dan Diaz 7,16 votes 62.72%. Ismael Smiley Martinez 4,223 37.28%. Total votes cast 11,329 under vote 763. In council member place 2, Jason DeLeon, 4,800 votes, 42.85%. Moises Segoia, 4,23 votes, 37.52%. Eddie Badio, 2,200 votes, 19.64%. Total votes cast, 11,203. The under votes were 889. Council, can I take a motion to accept these results?

Yes sir Mayor, the following certificate of election certifies Danielle Dandas has been duly elected council member place one of the city of Edenburg, Texas. [applause]

Item C, present certification of runoff candidates, certifying the names of the runoff candidates to be placed on the runoff ballot for the city of Edinburgh municipal runoff election to be held on December 13, 2025. Consider order municipal runoff election to be held December 13, 2025. to move. Second.

Do we have the order of names or on the runoff? Um I do. You do have the certificate before you. It's um Jason Dejonovia.
