Safety begins with paying attention. When you're walking the dog or pulling into your driveway, put the phone down.

Safety is one of the most important issues to our residents. I want you all to ask questions. We'll have a Q&A with our chief of police, with our team, so that you can learn about all the resources here.

The Safety First initiative, as the manager mentioned, it's extremely important that we're able, as police officers, to engage with the community. Climate has been reduced drastically. Washington Park of old is no longer. The community is the one that took a stance and worked together with the police department to ensure that crime is reduced.

Washington Park talks to their neighbors constantly. This is a family here.

The one thing I do want to say about Washington Park is that as a community, you love your neighborhood. You love your community.

We're tired of having these fatalities. We're tired of having these high speed crashes in our city. So thanks to the city manager for allowing us to do this initiative.

I just want to thank you for being involved residents and we're here to answer any of your concerns.

I want to invite you to our next Safety First initiative. We're just wrapping up here in Washington Park. It was a great success. We got a chance to meet all the community members, our residents, share ideas.
