you for making us leaders on this planet, that kind of leaders that we would like to be just like David, like Solomon, but even more so like Jesus, the creator of the universe. Give us what we need, Father. Without the power of the Holy Spirit, we would be able to do anything. We can't even move nothing. but think that Jesus paid a price for us and give us the privilege to be a leader, male and female. So please, Father, use us and let us be a blessing for this planet. This is asking that even more so than anything that you could think of. Bless us and use us. Bless us and give us the privilege to move the mountain. Give us the wisdom that we need at this point. This is a blessing that we ask in the name of Jesus, the creator of the universe, who make us what we are. In his name be glory and power. Shalom, shalom. God bless you.

That was good. Updates, Sabine, the committee. Tonight is election.

9:31 – 11:43Speaker 8

Good evening, honorable mayor and council. My name is Sabine Ducio. I am the chairwoman of the Centennial Committee and this evening I'll be presenting our monthly update. The Centennial webpage is where residents and visitors alike can find all Centennial information, including a YouTube link to Channel 10 special featuring the 100 history of the city of North Miami. You will also find the I Am North Miami video taken at various events. If you have not seen the video, it is definitely worth taking a look at. The Centennial webpage can be found at northmiamifl.gov. Our committee, in collaboration with the CRA and Ms. Shauna Sheldon, the executive director of the Mocha Museum, will be issuing a call to artists for the Centennial Mural. The committee has recommended that the mural be on the city facility so that it remains a tribute for generations to come. Our historic trolley rides continue. The next one is on July 18th, and this ride takes place with our honorable mayor, Alex Dasome, on Saturday, July 18th. If you have not had a chance to join us on these trolley rides, highly recommend that you join us. You can do so via the website by clicking on the Eventbrite link and reserving your spot on the next trolley ride. Lastly, our committee took our first site walkthrough at Nomi Village last year, and it was very, very well received. We love the large tent that has gone up. We love the fact that it can accommodate a large crowd, and it's right in the heart of our city. We will present to the board in June the budget recommendations, and of course, the budget will go to the council beforehand in order to be presented at the June meeting. That concludes my presentation.

11:44 – 12:15Speaker 4

Okay. All right. Thank you so much. Any questions from the committee? I'm sorry, from the members of the board for the committee? Anyone? Seeing none. Thank you. Thank you so very much. Thank you. Now city announcements. Savannah, come on, come on. Following by hurricane preparedness. Last time it was Angel. Oh, good. Is he here? Assistant Chief? 25:43 – 28:13Speaker 2

Good evening, Mayor and Council, Angel Rivera, Assistant Chief of Police, Police Department. We have six days left until the 2026 Atlantic region hurricane season is upon us. So as such, the North Miami Police Department and the Division of Emergency Management want to urge all our residents, visitors, business owners to continue your preparation and mitigation efforts. We want to ensure that if something happens, our community is resilient and protected. I'll give you guys some quick forecast at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, say that four times fast, has just provided some forecast for this upcoming season. But I want to give you a little bit of historical context. Last year, there were 13 named storms and nine hurricanes. However, we were quite fortunate that for the first time in 10 years, there was no hurricane that made landfall anywhere in the US. We're going to hope that this good fortune continues, but as I always say, we're going to hope for the best and prepare for the not so best. As now this upcoming hurricane season, the National Weather Center estimates anywhere, it's a big range, anywhere from 8 to 14 storms should be in the Atlantic region. I can tell you that as we urge you to prepare, I can assure you that our city will be prepared and is preparing. We are putting the final finishing touches on emergency preparedness. As I stated last time I was here, tomorrow we'll be conducting a interdepartmental tabletop exercise with 50 city employees, department heads, assistant department heads, madam manager will be there as well to ensure that your city is able to respond if need be in case of an emergency. However, again, I want for you to prepare. I'm excited to announce one new product that the National Weather Service has now come out with. It's hurricanes with an S, hurricanes.gov. It's a mobile-friendly website that allows the public to stay informed in case of emergency. It's gonna provide you with up-to-date forecasts, up-to-date information on warnings and hurricanes and things of that sort. and as i always say if you need more resources you could either see our website you could just google north city of north miami emergency management or you could always call our police department so that being said i urge you to prepare be safe and be well thank you thank you thank you thank you so much sir um now madam clerk
