It is 7:06. I'm going to call tonight's meeting of the cable advisory committee to order. Um, it's April 28th. We do have a Zoom capabilities. There's nobody on Zoom or in the public audience. So, of public input. Um, is there anything either of you would like to talk about that's not on the agenda? I was gonna I told Linda that she ought to contact the advisory committee about that audio thing. Yeah. No, that's that's Oh, I forgot. We were busy getting the subject tank.
So, just um for reference that there has been some feedback that watching some of the um YouTube GCTV videos. There has been an issue hearing um some of the audio with some of the participants. Um so we're going to look into that. Um other than that, any other public input? I already started the looking to talk to Bill.
Um next is to discuss and plan a public hearing. We've touched base on this a little bit. Um I think we just pull the trigger and I I think it's going to end up looking like this. I I don't think anybody's going to attend. I don't think uh but we we push it out and hopefully we get some more, you know, feedback like that and and be able to apply it to any upcoming contract negotiations or just fix any general um complaints. Uh so what do you guys think? Do you think we should just um as far as a date and just do it like this? hybrid public hearing that anybody can participate in what you're looking at. [clears throat] the ones you know from years ago were we didn't have the ability to do this but uh we had conference rooms we had conference room changed a whole lot
um so you need at least two weeks to post for a public hearing so do you guys Do you want to try to like maybe do June 3? That gives us plenty of time. thinking about when what the best strategy is as far as picking a date because everybody is, you know, saturated, burned out over the spring. Um, and it might be better to think about further like after Labor Day when people are back in I don't know. Everybody is focused on bigger issues. Um I think all maybe all the energy is is going that way. So we have less chance than usual.
Okay. Getting people out with some somewhat tie with what's going to happen about license renewals and when because if we're going to be if anybody's going to be talking to Bill August um then want to talk about when might be good as far as he's relev process itself every night await
um yeah I think postponing till you know the fall I guess that a that's a strategy as well we can um put a pin in it and post it in the fall if that's something you prefer. It would be good good to have some better idea of what [clears throat] are thinking of in terms of the whole removal process and what the timeline is. Try to find out. Okay.
Yep. All right. Um, so as far as continuing to review neighboring uh community licenses agreements, I do feel like we have thoroughly done that. I don't know if we can anymore.
Um, as well as our current license room, I think we are pretty vetted in that complaints. Um, you know, other than the one that we just heard in public comment. I will add that this past Sunday, there was um a live event being that was on Charter Live and streaming live, but it did not appear on Verizon Live. I have as a Verizon customer. Um, so I sent Bob a message. saying, "Hey, this isn't appearing live." So, he's already contacted Verizon. Tickets open. They're investigating it. So, so we'll get some um information about that.
The League of Women Voters event on on Sunday night that was supposed to be airing live for all the residents and you could stream it live. Um I don't have charter so I can't confirm, but I as a Verizon subscriber when I turned on my channel an old meeting. It was something else. some days back that I thought was going to be live war all the stuff that's going on and um I couldn't find it and it wasn't on Verizon. Yeah. So I I didn't follow up on that one.
So at least we know for for sure this one was was live. It was advertised live and you could stream it live. So it was it was available live but Not in all of the areas it was supposed to be. And you say streaming. Where where were you going to do that? On the website. On the website. Yeah. Okay. So, that's coming from that's coming out of our equipment, right? Going into the internet. Your [clears throat] your URL is bringing you here, not off to YouTube or right something else. Verizon or somebody.
That's good. Yep. Right. Uh we didn't get any correspondence. And then as far as discuss future meeting dates, um do you guys do you want to just wait until the fall to meet again and then start planning the the public because like just going through the agenda just now, there really wasn't much for us to get into besides that. If we're pushing it out to the fall, we don't really need to
I would say at this point at the call of the chair, we'll be I don't know whether anybody's being reappointed. Um this this June or whether we're all going on longer than that. I'm pretty sure I am because in theory you have reorganization but
first meeting after July 1st. Um but I would say otherwise have to call the chair and chair check with people and figure out when to call. Um because things may develop if you find out that it would be a good idea to be getting into renewal hearing all that jump in on it. But do you think about everybody has more than enough to do through um May 19th at the very least? Yeah. No, I uh I feel that. Um,
I can't imagine why. Okay, so now here's a question I should know the answer to. When I received minutes from Corin, did he push them out to everybody? Did you receive the minutes from I don't I don't remember. Okay, I know. Um, let me see. Well, I I don't I haven't captured any for the last meeting. Um, so Okay. I'm always so cautious with the forwarding and the reply alls that sometimes I I'm overly cautious. So if you guys didn't get it, we're not going to approve the March uh minutes. I will send those out. Yeah, if you do it
well blind CC is Corson is done. Corson is not seeking reappoint. So, and he's not here in April. Right. And if we don't meet again, this might have been last meeting. Okay. Um I'm I'm thinking about doing not just leaving it to the to the head office to let people know that there are
opportunities because now we have two opportunities. So I I like the idea of having you know under under all the organizations we have a page on the web and there should be a an opportunity like on the planning board if you want to send a comment you can and it gets gets to the to actually takes a funny path but um have that opportunity for people to get communicate with and then see what we can do about putting out some some calls. There's a chance to do do something.
Yep. Absolutely. It's not it's not a real heavy job. At least not right now. Um do you mind checking your email for April 17th because it does look like sent them out on It's entirely possible. Um, and if it's if it's okay just to stay on top of minutes, especially we're not meeting again. I'd like to be completely current other than tonight. So, if we could just take a second to peruse this. April how manyth? 17th. Oh, I have d Yes. Perfect.
Let me see. How did I miss? Well, how did I miss capturing is actually a question. business. We approve
motion and seconded. Any discussion? So, just to reiterate, uh we're moving the minutes March 25th, 2026. The agenda is 36.
Um, all those in favor I declare the motion carried. All right. So, I will forward those off just to take that off course just because he might be taking early retirement. Bob, how many years was Corin on this committee? Can you remember when he first joined? I know that you took the producers class, the next class after me, the second class um with my wife um which would have been in 85. It was not not at that point. I can't remember pretty far back
over 30 years maybe pretty low probably course you could I don't know whether he'd remember but you could ask I just you know for the record would like to call that up that's an incredible amount of time to serve on a committee and you know it's unfortunate he's not here tonight but that is should not go out. So, thank you, Corin, for all of your time serving on this committee. It's a it's an incredible feat. All right. Um, that being done, we can take a motion to adjourn.
So, move second. All those in favor? I Good night, everybody.
