Meeting being held here at city hall and being streamed live on Facebook. If you'll please rise for an invocation and remain standing for pledge.

Please bow your heads. Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day and we thank you for your many blessings. Father, this week we are especially mindful and prayerful for May the 14th and the 38th anniversary of the Carolton bus crash. We pray for the families and the survivors and we pray for them on that day and we just pray for our city. We thank you for our mayor and our city council and may they do your work to lead our city forward. Bless our service members both here and abroad. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen.

here. All right, we have a quorum. Uh, first item I'm going to the folks that we were going to do a proclamation for haven't arrived. They called. They're running behind. So, we may move that just to the work session if they get here. If not, we will move on to our new business. And so, this will be a second reading of an ordinance reszoning property located at 253 Battle Training Road. Mr. Pike. Mayor, this is a summary of a zoning ordinance reszoning property located at 253 Battle Training Road, Elizabeth Town, Kentucky. PVA map number 181-0000-00-31 from R2 zone to R4 zone 26.631 acres. The city of Franklin Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on a zone map amendment request on April 2nd, 2026 made by applicant owner POW and Kato LLC for 26.631 on 631 acres of property located at the south rightway of Battle Training Road, Kentucky 434 at its intersection with South Boundary Road, Radcliffe, Kentucky, PVA number 181-0000-00-31. CD deed book 1434, page 667, Office of the Horton County Clerk. The request was for an amendment from residential 2 single family zone to residential 4, high density single family and duplex zone. The planning commission recommended the zone map amendment request be granted as the request was supported by the evidence of record. the city's comprehensive zoning plan and applicable law and the city council is now enacting an ordinance to change the property zoning.
