Let us pray. Dear Lord, we thank you for this day. We thank you for this opportunity. We thank you for this city. And we thank you for our country that's celebrating 250 years this year. We have the final reading of an ordinance rezoning the property address as 1935 Burton Lane, Charleston County, TMS number 46603, parcel 92, from R1 single-family residential to R2 multifamily residential in Council District 10. and the final reading of an ordinance amending section 7-7.2 and 7-8 and adding section 7-9 of the zoning regulations of the city of North Charleston to clarify zoning map and zoning text amendment requirements as well as to establish the planning and zoning department fee schedule.

We have the final reading of an ordinance adopting a bill to be entitled an annexation ordinance of the City of North Charleston annexed in an area of Charleston County known as 55X TMS number 47512 parcel 91. and make it part of present City Council District 6 as shown on a map prepared by the GIS Department for purposes of this annexation dated June 2nd, 2026, bearing the title area proposed for annexation by the City of North Charleston, Section 55X, Council District 6. Move for approval. Second.

Mr. Mayor, members of, well, Mr. Mayor Pro Tem and members of council, the annexation petition pending before you tonight contains signatures of 100% of the freehold property owners and represents 100% of the assessed values. The records of the auditor and assessor have been checked. A resolution authorizing the City of North Charleston to accept the Spark Good Local Grant in the amount of $500 from Walmart Facility 3367. A resolution authorizing the City of North Charleston to accept the South Carolina Firefighters Foundation Burn Children's Fund Grant. A resolution accepting a subdivision bond to ensure the construction of a private road known as Lemon Line Avenue in the Rhonda Wade subdivision in Council District 2. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute agreements for indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity architectural services. A resolution authorizing the city of North Charleston to accept the SFY 2627 South Carolina Department of Public Safety School Resource Officer Grant. A resolution authorizing the mayor and or his designee to consent to the inclusion of designated city of North Charleston parcel. The project river rivers landing is located at 2151 Morris Baker drive Boulevard TMS number 4, 7, 8, 0, 4 parcel 13 within the Charleston and college and counties joint County business parts to allow incentives for attainable housing. We have a request to approve engineering service for Weber Boulevard widening in Council District 7. And a request to approve a bid award for the City of North Charleston Coliseum Performing Arts and Convention Center resurfacing and site improvements to the low bidder Bangus Construction Company, Charleston, South Carolina in the amount of $3,548,992.44. He's actually with a contingent from North Charleston in Denver presenting North Charleston's case to be an all-American city. So hopefully, I told him that I would stand in for him tonight only if he brings back a win. So there's a lot of pressure on the mayor tonight and tomorrow as he gives his presentation.
