change. Had to get a ladder up there.
Yeah, I have to get a ladder and it take it's like active ladder. 54 probably will Never whatever reason.
the approval. That'll be the approval of about Mr. Bush. Yes. I believe that we have I believe you all stand up for the that this great job do a great work. We appreciate the work and the volunte
here. I believe You are the Oops. Your connection. Moving
on to services will be discussion and a possible action regarding the summer live music festival. I know most of us here are that we've had to enjoy those the last three or four years and I know you all do a great job.
That's Hi.
I would just like to this is over the last few years. I mean, it does hurt a lot of people at the time for come and sit for a few hours and just listen to people around me and talk to people around me. It's it's a really it's a really good just Well, our team You did not.
Yeah. yellow.
That's what What was that? We have a motion to approve the deadline sponsorship. of the 206 summer music have is there any further discussion as well like a rabbit all day long worried about this that she bust her If there's no further comment or question, we will defer the motion and second.
Yes.
Yes. Thank you. Thank you. We will move on to general government and under general government will be discussion and possible actions plus additional funding and Carol will speak to us exactly. But that's Is there time?
Everybody I don't want As we all know,
Federal Just want to break. Thank you. Thank you, Chief.
always supports.
Yes, mayor. you know, we're right on the eve of of 2026 and 27th budget work sessions and the staff is already working on capital. Uh had a meeting last week. So, uh I just wanted to push out there as far as the special call meeting on Monday, April 27th from 9:00 a.m. to to noon and another session starting on May 18th from 9:00 a.m. Uh so those are the two sessions and like to go ahead and get those approved. I can approve the uh read the motion. And it says a special called meeting on Monday, April 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and on Monday, May 18th from 9:00 a.m. to discuss fiscal year 2026 to 27th budget. That's the motion. Moving on development discussion and possible act.
Yes, mayor. Um, as you know, we have a lot of open records requests and and we have a a lot that is generated from the PD as far as uh, you know, accidents, etc. And we're trying to kind of streamline that. So, you can kind of seeable order uh, 20262. Uh that puts the the uh PD's clerk and also we just still have our city clerk uh Kathy Dillard who would also be the to be doing that final check but that would just be a big help from the city if we can start doing some of these locally at the police station. Have any questions concerning that? If you do, I'm sure Kathy can answer them. So, I guess
excuse me. Yes.
I think in point three on the order, it says the city clerk of city of Franklin shall continue to be the official custom of the record. So, it's still the official, but most of the records will be done here locally. Yeah. Yes, sir. Mayor, uh, as I got in the memo, it says on March 3rd, the city of Franklin planning zoning voted to approve the preliminary development plan for the data center and service uh, center. But, uh, and then also a part of that agreement would be monthly update to the PNZ board uh, concerning the key data center aspects. uh which sounds really good, but I I think as far as my recommendation as far as if the city would entertain to hire uh professionals on behalf of the city on those some of the aspects as I you know fire protection, environmental emissions, uh noise, utility to kind of speak in the city's behalf or the public. um we don't have that expertise locally and and I know that they'll be coming in and I just
think it would be uh to our benefit to have somebody uh professional to be able to communicate peer-to-peer. Um I just wanted to throw that out there for discussion um because we're in unexplored territory um and I think that would just kind of be kind of a safety measure. But I I would just appreciate your comments and thoughts as far as uh how we would go forward. Well, there's not, in my opinion, not a oneall person who can do all of them. You would have to probably seek uh individual expert, you know, as far as environmental uh an expert in that field, uh fire protection, you know, emissions, uh a specialist. Uh I've kind of called around and there's just not one person that has all of those. there probably a professional engineer has a general understanding but I think we would probably want somebody that's a specialized in that field to make sure that you know there we don't miss anything. Um so and I was just
I think the idea That's a good question. Obviously where we are at this point. This is the hammering time. I mean what I There's question that be asked that could be answered. Uh from what I follow, you know, we're at that stage right now that crucial time to find out what it is, how that's going to happen, making sure that it's going to be carried out as it has been said to us. Um so I and I'll be honest, the first one to tell you, I don't know anything about any of that. I can't if you ask me I don't know that's that's the best I can give you may be lame truth so uh you know I think it's a good safety net for us to bring in someone that actually speaks you know better language these different verbages come our way about what what it is what's happening so uh I I think it's a good idea I I think for sense where we are where we are. I think I think it's I think it's a good thing a good I think it's a good place for us.
I have I don't have an idea. That's some that do Well, there are probably engineering department is I'm assumul
Yeah, I view their professionals from the data center will be coming in and making a report, but we just need somebody of a third party making sure they're look, you know, peer-to-peer understanding and holding uh accountable and then putting some standards And as Scott says, I I don't know which way it'll go, but I think it's uh would be a proactive approach instead of being reactive putting things and we can start putting feelers out.
No, we need somebody We don't know what It's fully expensive. control.
I think I think we need I think we need the guides.
I guess the outside consultancy. So the motion is to
I would say it would it would be on the low side it would be 50 but 50 to 100,000 in my opinion and and I really could see some of these consultants flying and going to sites and reviewing uh I mean go and see uh no exactly
no I don't have
