Proposal to subdivide the property into four (4) single-family residential lots, ranging in size from 2.44 to 2.60 acres. The subdivision has been designed to comply with Section 840 of the Zoning Regulations, utilizing alternate lot width and side yard requirements under the Conservation Subdivision provisions, which allow for increased open space areas. The 14.45+/- acre subject property is located on the west side of Mansfield Avenue, approximately 200 feet south of its intersection with Stephen Mather Road and is shown on Assessor’s Map #2 as Lot #35 in the R-2 Residential Zone. THIS APPLICATION WAS WITHDRAWN ON 3/17/2026.
Proposed Amendments to Darien Zoning Regulations put forth by the Darien Planning & Zoning Commission (COZR #2-2026) (PL-26-26).
Proposal to establish a temporary moratorium on large multi-family projects for a period of a year. Large multi-family projects are those of 25 units or more. This moratorium is proposed to be for a one year period from the effective date to be established by the Commission. The temporary moratorium would apply to the entire Town of Darien. The full text of the proposed zoning regulation amendment is on file and available in the Town Clerk’s office and the Planning and Zoning Office for inspection, and online at darienct.viewpointcloud.com.
Land Filling & Regrading Application #600 (PL-26-21), Matthew & Jennifer Woodbury, 17 Harbor Road.
Proposal to construct a new pool, spa, patios, walkways, and associated retaining at the rear of the property and to reconfigure the existing driveway and front walkway; and to perform related site development activities within regulated areas, including installation of stormwater management and regrading of the property. The 1.08+/- acre subject property is located on the south side of Harbor Road approximately 620 feet southwest of its intersection with Ring’s End Road, and is shown on Assessor’s Map #51 as Lot #13 in the R-1 Residential Zone.

Proposal to raze the existing gas station and associated service buildings and to redevelop the property with a Motor Vehicle Service Station with six self-service fueling positions, an associated 2,800+/- square foot convenience store, and onsite parking.
