City Council - Regular Meeting

All right. Good morning. We will call to order this special close session that we were having at the conclusion of the regular meeting on January 6, 2026. The city council adjourned slashcontinued this regular meeting to 8:00 a.m. today, January 13, 2026 in accordance with the Brown Act, including but not limited to government code section 54955. The location of the adjourned regular meeting is being held at 550 East 6th Street, Bulma Avenue, except when the city council adjourns to close session. When the city council adjourns to close session, uh we will be at the address provided here uh at Holiday in Express 1864 Oak Valley Village Circle, Belmont, California. A notice of this adjournment has been posted within 24 hours of the adjournment uh at or near the door of the city council chambers located at 556th Street, Bowmont, California. The adjourned regular meeting on January 13, 2026 will be a regular meeting for all purposes and an agenda has been posted in accordance with the Brown Act, including but not limited to government code section 54954.2. Can we get a readout for the items for discussion?

The [clears throat] council will meet in close session. Uh item B1 is conference with labor negotiators. The agency designated representative is Henry Garcia or is designated the unrepresented potential employee the city manager position. Item B2 public employee appointment u employment and the title of that position is city manager. Item B3 is conference with labor negotiators. The agency designated representative is Gus Romano and interim deputy city manager Carrie Mendoza. The employee organizations are listed in the agenda.

Please let the record reflect that uh Council Member Finn was in attendance for our close session. Uh he arrived at 8:30 this morning. Um and uh city attorney, can we get the report out, please?

Yes. The council met in close session. Item B1 was conference with labor negotiators, the agency designated representative Henry Garcia or his designate, the unrepresented potential employee, city manager, and there was no reportable action taken on that item. Item B2 was public employee appointment employment pursuant to government code section 54957, title city manager. No reportable action on that item and item B3 was not covered in close session. That concludes the report out. All right, thank you for that report out and we will adjourn the meeting at 6:47.
