Yes, sir, I have several dates. Tomorrow, September 16th, Noon here in the chambers is the first board meeting for the TURS number two. September 18th, which is Friday, is the POW MIA ceremony, which is actually gonna be in the Killeen Civic Center. That's at 9 a.m. on Friday. Saturday, October 3rd, there's a lot of things going on. early, early in the morning at 10 a.m. And this will actually be in Temple. Our very own City Councilmember Adele Treadway will be recognized and receive the 2026 Congressional Veteran Commendation Award. Congratulations, Mr. Treadway. Also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is Oscars Market out at Ogletree Gap Preserve. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. is the fourth annual Vet Fest at City Park. And then that evening downtown from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. is the National Night Out Kickoff Party with the Major Leagues theme. October 8th at 10 a.m. at the Veteran Affairs Clinic site is the groundbreaking ceremony. And then October 9th, we have a couple items going on. That's from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Civic Center is Market with a Mission. And from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Ogletree Gap Preserve is Blue Grass and Barbecue fundraiser event hosted by the Historical Society. And then that very next day on October 10th at Ogletree Gap Preserve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is the Heritage Festival.

D1, proclamation, Oscars Market Day, Dan, Mayor Yancey.

City of Coppers Cove proclamation. Whereas, Oscars Market was inspired by the vision and leadership of Coppers Cove community leader, Michelle Rocha O'Sullivan, and was founded to empower youth to become socially conscious individuals who seek to positively impact their communities. And whereas through the founding of Oscars Market, Michelle Rocha O'Sullivan has strengthened community connection and collaboration by partnering with First National Bank Texas and First Heroes National Bank. And whereas Oscars Market, held annually in Copper's Cove, Texas, is a fun entrepreneurial learning program that teaches youth not only how to start their own business, but also fundamental lessons about life, success and self-confidence and whereas young entrepreneurs along with caring adults learn what it takes to be successful in business by setting goals planning for success finding investors advertising purchasing supplies and creating products managing operations opening bank accounts, and ultimately giving back to the community. And whereas Oscar's Market has earned the support of businesses, schools, youth organizations, neighborhoods, and government entities due to the valuable life skills and community-focused lessons it provides our youth, Now, therefore, I, Dan Yancey, Mayor of the City of Copper's Cove, do hereby declare and proclaim October 3rd, 2026 as Oscars Market Day in Copper's Cove, Texas. And I urge all citizens to take part in Oscars Market, either through purchasing from Oscars Market youth entrepreneurs or mentoring our youth as they learn valuable life lessons. Sure.

Thank you to Mayor Yancey, Kevin Keller, and the City Council for letting us be here today and recognize the young entrepreneurs of Copperas Cove and surrounding cities. Oscars Market will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 10 to 2 at the Ogletree Gap Preserve Pavilion. Youth aged 10 to 18 will be selling a little bit of everything, and we'll also be hosting a raffle for one customer to win a prize basket with items from all of our youth vendors as well. And then our top performers will have a chance to win a scholarship chosen by a panel of our judges, including Councilwoman Christina Strophis. So come out and support the next generation of business owners.

D2, Proclamation Hispanic Heritage Month. Dan DeYancey, Mayor.

City of Coppers Cove Proclamation. Whereas during Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Coppers Cove recognizes that Hispanic heritage is American heritage. And whereas this year's theme is Pioneers of Change, Shaping the Future Together. And whereas the observation of Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was enacted into federal law on August 17th, 1988. And whereas many Hispanic Americans trace their roots to the cultures of the indigenous people of the Americas, to include the Arawaks, the Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, Tianos, and some trace their roots to the Spanish explorers or to the Africans who were brought here as slaves to the New World, now serve as civil rights leaders, politicians, military service members, educators, first responders, science pioneers, and public servants for our country. And whereas September 15th through October 15th is recognized as National Hispanic Heritage Month, which is a time to honor the invaluable ways Hispanics and Latinos contribute to our common goals, celebrate their diverse cultures, and to work towards a stronger, more inclusive, and more prosperous society for all. and whereas Hispanics have enhanced and shaped our national character with centuries-old traditions that reflect the multi-ethnic and multicultural customs of their communities, while adding to their own distinct and dynamic perspectives to the story of our country. Therefore, Dan Yancy, Mayor of City of Copper's Cove, do hereby proclaim September 15th through October 15th, 2026 as Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Copper's Cove in recognition of the indelible footprints of Hispanic cultures to our daily lives.

Buenas tardes, good afternoon everybody. I am Ana Luisa and I happen to have the honor to represent a council, a group of volunteers that have stood in the front line. If you know about Vanessa Guillen, can you raise your hand? So a lot of people are looking at where Central Texas is at because of that situation. Because of that happening, there's a lot of changes that are happening also that do take care of our military service members. So if you're a veteran, we salute you, and we thank you for this honor. And thank you for everybody, because I believe every Tuesday everybody becomes bilingual, right? Tacos? Enchiladas? And best of all, community. Without our unity, we have nothing, right?
