Seeing no one. Yeah, I'm gonna take this uh Thank you, sir. Thank you, Mayor. I'm going to take a moment and ask uh Fire Chief Russell Singh to come on up with our new assistant fire chief, Mr. Bis. I would like for Chief Singh to introduce him to you all.

6:33 – 7:170

Good evening. Um like to introduce a righteous guy right here. So far, everything's gone great. Um, this Mike Bis, uh, he's come in as the assistant and I feel we're going to help keep the department headed in the right direction. And so, super happy to have him here. And so, I wanted him to come tonight to meet everybody. And so, Mike Bis, assistant, yes, sorry, assistant fire chief. He's righteous. Yeah. Word of the night. Oh, you just do. Mike, you want to

7:14 – 7:490

come forward? Glad to have you on board. Thank you. It's okay. You're official now. Everyone does it. So, it's okay. Don't worry about it.

So, we're so excited to have Assistant Chief Bailis here with us. I know you started your career. You you were here earlier in your career, so we're happy to have you back home with us. Absolutely. He's already hit the ground running. Thank you, sir. Thank you.

8:03 – 10:000

Okay. Next, we'll have a proclamation on Missouri Good Neighborhood Week, which is uh September 28th through October the 4th. And I'll read that real quick. Says, um, Missouri good neighbor week. Whereas the Missouri General Assembly has designated September 28th through October 4th as Missouri Good Neighbor Week to promote community connection and and kindness. And whereas research shows that knowing and engaging with neighbors leads to stronger, safer, and more enduring comm uh communities. And whereas acts of neighboring such as checking in on one another, sharing resources, and offering encouragement build trust and improve quality of life. And whereas the city of Fulton values the vital role of neighbors and community partners in creating a welcoming and supported place to live, work, and grow. Now therefore, I, Steve Meyers, mayor of the city of Fulton, on behalf of the city council and the citizens of Fulton, do hereby proclaim September 28th through October 4th, 2025 as Missouri Good Neighbor Week in the city of Fulton and encourage all residents to take time to con connect with their neighbors. ers recognize those who go above and beyond and help strengthen the bonds that make our community thrive.

9:58 – 10:280

I think that's um that's something we all should be doing and aware of and uh helping each other out. Uh certainly I think in some of the disaster times in the winter and the snow and such as that we do a pretty good job, but we should be doing that year round and uh helping your neighbors and making sure they're okay and uh supporting them. So thank you.

I was thinking on the way here um about how long it's taken to get from where we started to where we are and it's almost year and a half, two years and it's just a project that I feel really passionately about. Um, I think it's really important for our city and I think it's a huge step forward for us. And you know, I just want to make sure again, and I know I say it a lot, that it's so incredibly important that we have the ability to maintain our utilities. Um, that's something that not a lot of cities have and we do and and we get to make the decisions for oursel. And so I'm incredibly um proud of the utility board and and proud to to represent them. Um, I don't have any concerns tonight. Uh, but I do have really great neighbors. I would like to say that they're wonderful. Um, and I hope everybody else does, too. On Monday, September the 15th at 6:00 at the Callaway County Sheriff's Office training room, uh they're going to uh try to establish this uh Alliance Club again. Anyone interested? We'll have that and they're going to

24:20 – 24:310

do we know what their mission is like the Lions Club. What are they what their mission is?

24:26 – 25:110

Um I I uh for children mo mainly and then they raise money also for uh for different for children. Mostly all their u proceeds go to children. Bill's looking it up, but I know they do, one thing they do is uh with vision for people less fortunate, you know, they'll collect ar, you know, people's old glasses and redistribute them. I do remember that. So, um, it says that the mission of the Lions Club is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding. Thank you. Thanks, Bill.

25:08 – 25:500

They collect a lot of old glasses. people either change lenses or whatever and then they distribute them um some of them I think in uh other countries even so yeah it's a good organization we have three really good organizations now and so anyone interested September the 15th we'll put that on our boards All right. So, we're not in season.

I do have something. Um, since you mentioned the the tires aren't collected, one of my neighbors being good neighbor here, uh, put out a tire yesterday and I said I they won't pick that up. Do they do that hazardous or do they just have to take it to a local tire shop? That's what I told him you need to do. Okay. Yeah. Just take it to a Yeah, I know Plaza takes those cars.
